Text ads help

I don't know what i did, but apparently I've downloaded a virus that does those god damn text ads (where text is highlighted and you scroll over it and it's an ad).

Whats a good way to get rid of them?

I've already tried a remover to no avail, and I removed the 2 last programs I installed once the stupid thing started showing up again (same result).

It's only on this forum though, which is odd.

My last pc I had the same problem. Sorry, I have no good answer. I finally got tired of getting viruses and shelled out the extra for a Mac. I'll never go back as long as macs stay near-virus free. The peace of mind is worth the money.

I think I figured it out, although I'm not sure. Something like coupondropdown or something. No idea where I downloaded it, but I believe I got rid of it.
