Now that draft unpleasantness is over, on to Summer League.

Currently our SL roster has Caleb Love, Andrew Carr and Sean Pedulla on it. I assume Rupert will also be there for his third SL, but who else? I imagine Yang will be there, but maybe there are some complications with him being Chinese?

I don't see any problems with Yang being there as long as the Blazers pay the tariffs...

Let’s see what yang can do. If he doesn’t impress in summer league I would be concerned

I like the player just not where he was drafted but oh well cause let's be honest unless Cronin trades Grant , Thybulle where was ANY rookie going to get minutes outside of maybe 10 or so here and there since we all know Billups tends to favor vets.

Also this player from Kentucky sounds promising as a stay in the G-league for a season and then give him a shot at a backend roster spot a year from now. I mean I bet he does just as much as Grant and would only cost like 5% of what that overpaid clown costs.

What about Sidy Cissoko?

Will Clingan play a game?
I bet he'll be in Las Vegas (a lot of Blazers were last year, I recall, and he seems to be hanging around the practice facility) but I would be very surprised if he played.

Traditionally not a bigs place to shine.

But I’m sure that won’t stop people from freaking out if he doesn’t do well in SL.

Yep, unfortunately, fans never learn. We talk about it every year, yet the same comments happen repeatedly.

I can promise you that his speaking Chinese vs English will have no impact on his situation. HA had a full time interpreter with us at all times. Quite sure this will be the situation here.

does summer league really accomplish anything for players or teams?

Probably not, but the basketball nerds love it.

I went the year that Scoot was drafted and was sitting next to Kevin Grevey (Washington Bullets) in the upper level.

He lives in Culver City and goes every year.
