The refs pretty much quit falling for the Curry fall backwards after every three shot.

Surprised Durant isn't on there. He's the reason they eliminated the rip through foul.

The rip-thru had no intention of making the three pointer; it was intended to get the whistle. So Durant would have to actually make one rather than flail because someone had their hand too close to him.

Check it, yo... check it..

Steps in and snatches the mic

When I step on the court I'm the go to guy
And if you didn't know Imma show you why
I spin like Michael Jackson when I blow right by
After I take two steps then you know who flies
Over your center and your power forward posterized
Is how they end up, bent up, slow to rise. No two guys
can stop me. 4 or 5 with hopeful eyes
Watch me it's no surprise. I'm s'posed to sky
over the competition. Hittin' J after J and I'm not missin'.
On fire you know that I got ignition.
Unconscious ain't no helpin' my condition.
Ain't no stoppin' this when, I'm comin' through the lane
cause my crossovers breakin' down the opposition
And when I'm not scoring I'm assistin'
No look alley oops when I be dishin'

Pass it to me at the top of the key
Even if you played D I'll be poppin' a 3
You hack me and the act it's not shockin' to see
It's a 4 point play cause I'm droppin' what's Free.

Drops Mic...

Guess this can go both ways here-
"While Durant is the poster child for the rip-through, other players have integrated the chintzy gimmick into offensive repertoires that otherwise consist of fine, polished china. Kobe Bryant, of course, is one. A ruthless tactician who has added nuances to his game to counteract the withering of his athleticism, Kobe probably lurked in his dark, cavernous lair rewinding game tape of Durant and rubbing his multi-ringed claws together. And, in 2010, Kobe was the beneficiary of the most crucial rip-through call in NBA history."

Yes. Kobe did the rip through. But the league didn't pass any rules to limit Kobe. They passed the rule because of KD.
