I love this. And as far as "this can't happen...LA's part-owner"...last I checked 21% of the shares of a corporation couldn't outvote 79%. So all the board has to do is "take the vote to the shareholders", and it's cold, dark and quiet in 1/4 of LA.
Is that a public company, because if it is I'm dumping shares on rumors that the company may be pressured for politcal reasons to dump a significant client.
I think it is a great idea for the state of Arizona, but a terrible idea for the power company.
didn't it say in that article (it may not have, and I read it somewhere else) that New Mexico's standing in line to buy the electricity not going to LA?

Not in that article but maybe in another one. I would hope they would have some back up plan. Heck why is Arizona loyal to Cali . . . if I owned that company I would put New Mexico and Cali into a bidding war.
Maybe I should buy stock in the company . . . clearly I know what I'm tlaking about, want a stock tip.
