Subjective.

I actually love Batum - but I think that Nate is really being pressed to play Sergio to let him "prove himself" or "help Rudy" - but the truth of the matter is that I am not sure Rudy really needs help anymore. He can already talk the language - and he needs to handle the ball more - so putting him next to Bayless and make him take some of the offense creation duties is not bad. If we must have Sergio to help Rudy there - let's try Bayless - we can not ride Roy all night every night to be the only one that can attack the rim from the dribble. He will fall over exhausted sooner or later.
Outlaw didn't get to play with Oden.
Fortunately you don't actually wonder that, because if you did, I'd worry about your ability to analyze a game. I really don't see the relationship, Greg has his own problems unrelated to anyone elses. Batum's biggest problem is that, despite getting himself in a decent position to grab a rebound, get a steal, make a shot in the paint, etc., he isn't aggressive enough and ends up losing out. Also, he's in a bad shooting slump, and he's a 19 year old rookie.I almost wonder if Batum's lack of offense is hindering Oden at this point.
One less player to account for on the offensive end. I guess we'll see the end of Batum starting soon enough.
I like his future, but I don't like him being a starter right now.
Just off the top of my head, at the start of the 2nd half he did.

If Martell was healthy, who would you propose to start at SF?
"Subjective."
new worst catch phrase of the board. congrats you've already beaten out kingspeed/addy's "checkmate"

I guess perhaps Rudy needs to start at the 3, or even bring Outlaw back, but Batum is lost right now.
He's a role player at this point and is a net negative on the floor.
He has 5 points and 8 rebound TOTAL over the last 6 games.
Why is he still starting?
Subjective on both counts.
i agree on roy, he's going to wear down eventually. i guess i just don't see it out of bayless. i watched the kid play alot last season and he doesn't have the PG mentallity. i'm afraid if he were to take over on the second unit that it'd be more of the stand around iso game that the first unit plays alot of. the beauty to me of our two units is that the second comes in and with the SC they move the ball and we get some open looks at the basket. sergio, and to an extent rudy, play a high risk, high reward style and when it's working it's great. when that style isn't working everyone is ready to jump off a bridge and kill sergio. i just don't think you can have it both ways.
lol, andalusian. I love Bayless as much as the next guy, but you bring up JayBay in every post!
