I saw an article on OregonLive that said that they figured 14 out of 16 major bridges in the area would collapse. Power, telephone, cell phones, sewer, gas, electricity all gone. Welcome to the stone age.

This literally comes up every couple years (most likely when it's a boring news cycle). Yes, we're overdue for a major earthquake... yes, it will most likely destroy Portland when it finally does it, but it could happen tomorrow or it could happen 100 years from now. Nobody knows.
