more amazingly we are 3rd in west

games vs clips and grizz are huge.... if we can somehow win both or even 1. gotta stay in the race

Why the surprise? I thought back in October we all said this would happen! Big Deal!

Rip City, baby!!
These Blazers have been hustling and working their tails off. Roy has played like a superstar. Everyone else has stepped up. But I wonder how long they can defy the odds. We have 9 healthy players- Roy and a handful of no-name players, and we are always playing undersized. I hope the Blazers can continue winning at this clip, but I'm not feeling really optimistic.

Check out the conference record.

Yeah, being 6-8 against the East isn't cool. :tsktsk:

Agreed. We were 22-8 against the Eastern teams all of last year, and they were arguably better then. Unexpected losses to NY, Milwaukee, and Miami/Philly at home kinda fucked our record.

just remember....... those leastern wins might cost us playoffs

deleted. You can't let ANY thread go by without your fucking unending negativity and "dig" statements against the Blazers. You are no fucking fan in my book. The next time you use the word "we" in referring to the Blazers, I hope a crow comes through your window and eats your testicles.

Truly awesome. Poor Nuggets. They have injuries. Boo. Hoo.

I love that we're in striking distance of the #2 seed! Amazing.

Dude. Why do you get so riled up at him? His position is very consistent. Look at the dark clouds in his avatar. I laughed out loud when I read his post. It was utter brilliance in context.

Get it? We're having a dream season. He had to figure out a downside and he took a stab at it. Hilarious.

Just going through our game log, I noticed something. Portland is the only team in the WC to beat every other WC team it has played at least once.

LA is the only WC team we haven't played yet, but they haven't won yet against Denver or SA (they haven't played the Spurs yet).

You can thank Andrea Bargnani and his 5 blocks for that one.

I can thank Toronto for letting the real Number One of that draft go. Ain't no argument there, B-Roy is the prize of the 2006 NBA draft. Other players will have some big years, but there's no second guessing....Roy is by far and away Numero Uno of 2006. So, before I thank anyone else, I say, "Thank you, Toronto. Without your efforts, or lack thereof, we might possibly not have Brandon Roy, and without him, we likely would not be the franchise we are today. Oh, and how could your ANAL-yst vote Bar-gag-me over Roy? Fuck him. Bet it's the same dude who drafted for you."

So my team plays a good game, which helps your team move up and THIS is your response?

Leave the poor Raptor fan alone. :tsktsk:

Have to give props to Portland for fighting through injuries and come playoff time this is where they will need the homecourt the most. I just don't see them advancing w/o it since they are missing Pryz & Oden more than likely.

By the way, the Lakers will eventually come down to the pack a bit. They've already played more than half of their home games this season and only 11 on the road.

Lakers are a good team no matter how you look at it. No one is going to catch them.

Right now those 8 losses are behind us and we're in 3rd place. So those losses are highly unlikely to cost us the playoffs. If we keep losing to them, that might have an impact. But I think we're safe in saying that our record today is such that even with those losses we'd make the playoffs.

Now,if you want to say that the SAS win, for example, is a bit canceled out by the loss to PHI, (we were projected to go 1-1 in those two games), then I see what you're saying.

Portland also is #4 in the West in point differential, so it's not like they've been particularly lucky with winning close games, either.

Of course, one of the West teams ahead of Portland in point differential is Denver, and they are well ahead. But then, I'd be shocked if Portland ended the season ahead of Denver considering how injured Portland is. If Portland finishes with the fourth seed, I'd be amazed and really impressed. Any playoff spot would be impressive, though.

Not bad at all, especially considering that the Northwest Division is right up there with the Southwest Division as the toughest divisions in the NBA.

The ignore feature is amazing for not having to see the garbage posted by the various trolls that frequent these boards. I highly recommend you use that feature.
