Been building more stuff recently for fun, got tired of having to move my old cars out of the garage to do some work, so decided to build myself an outdoor workbench.
Since it will live outside (most likely) and will have to withstand the weather, it is all built from construction lumber which is not uniform in size, but it is good enough.
We are going away on a vacation so finishing it will need to wait, but have been slowly adding more stuff to it, including putting these workbench casters on it so I can move it around. It has a dipped section in the middle, which when I put my portable table saw on will create a continuous surface so I can cross cut longer pieces or be used an in-feed / out-feed for ripping.
I might enclose the storage area under the top for storage, but might keep it open as well, it is being designed as I go along.
Since it now has the casters, it actually can fit in the garage between the old cars, so I might decide to put fancy plywood on top (which is not weather approved) and keep it in, because it will allow me to install t-tracks and bench dogs. We will see...
Anyone else enjoys building stuff?
