Again with the hyperbole and lies. That's not the truth at all, you'd certainly like to believe it I'm sure, but dissenting opinions are not unwelcome by all Blazer fans at all. Poorly supported/argued opinions and the posters who can't back up their points without resorting to name calling or trying to construct strawmen draw my ire, while a poster like Nik who's expressed his not so popular opinion on Oden still has my respect and I can't recall him being attacked for it(certainly not by the majority of the S2 community).

It's not the message that's bringing the "attacks", it's the poster.

A realist can't help but notice we're a far shallower team than the last 2 seasons and have continually failed to address our 3 biggest weaknesses since blowing up a solid championship contender that only needed a decent coach to take it over the top.

I'd disagree for the most part here. Check this out:

1. PG

I agree that we're in our continual search for PGotF (TM). Miller's a mid-level PG at worst, though, and we did make the playoffs last year with him playing 82 games.

2. Backup PF

This one confuses me a bit. Assuming that Oden doesn't play and Camby's the full-time starting center (which I think isn't the case, but I'll make that assumption) you have Dante that can play the scrappy, defensive-minded 15-foot-and-in shooter that he did last year at backup PF for 10 mpg, or go with Babbitt as an Outlaw-like stretch 4. If Oden DOES play, then you can go with Camby at the backup 4. I don't think we're super-hosed, there.

3. Coach that can implement an offense of any sort.

I think we got two this offseason. By all accounts, Bickerstaff and Ociepka are pretty smart and experienced X-and-O's guys. Will Sarge listen? I don't know about that. But we have at least two coaches who CAN implement an offense.

Oh, and we have no center now and our 2 best backup SG's want out.

I didn't hear that Bayless and Matthews wanted out. Wes just got here!
