That was seriously some shades of G6 of the Lakers-Kings series.

Dont care I hate both those shit teams as much as I hate r*ckets and l*kers
Chris Paul hit Westbrook on the elbow. It was a foul.
Doc Rivers himself said the team "stopped playing" with 3 min left in the game and made several mistakes that cost them the game. They shouldnt have put themselves in the situation to lose it the way they did.
Agreed. The Clips choked. But the refs hands around their throats didn't help matters. And it tarnishes the game.Doc Rivers himself said the team "stopped playing" with 3 min left in the game and made several mistakes that cost them the game. You couldnt believe it? You might not want to be a blazer fan then...I hate the OKC Thunder moreso than the Clips. But holy shit, the Clips got fucked in the ass by the refs on TWO back to back calls during the last 60 seconds of the game.
Holy shit- I couldn't believe it.
Absolutely. It was criminal. It started with the phantom foul sending Durant to the line and ended with the phantom foul sending Westbrook to the line. What happened in between was just as bad.
League apology forthcoming? Doubtful.
No they didn't.
Rule 8 II
If a player has his hand in contact with the ball and an opponent hits the hand causing the ball to go out-of-bounds, the team whose player had his hand on the ball will retain possession.
Thunder ball
I don't think that applies here. The way I interpret that rule is that if I was holding the ball, and you slapped my hand and the ball went flying out of bounds, it would still be my ball. But in this case, if you slap my hand and I lose the ball, and then I hit the ball again before it goes out of bounds, it's their ball. From what I saw, Barnes slapped Jackson as he came down the lane, the ball comes out, and then Jackson flails to emphasize the foul, but when he flails he hits the ball again and it goes out of bounds.
It was a foul, but the refs didn't call a foul. They called it as out of bounds to the Thunder. The call was wrong.

lol. Is anyone surprised, though, that Tony Brothers made both of those crucial calls.
We will have to agree to disagree then. I interpret the rule differently. He had both hands on the ball when Barnes slapped his hand, causing the ball to go out of bounds. Yes, off Jackson's hand, but that's because it was hit and in one motion went out of bounds.

Like I said in the playoff thread...vague. Barnes actually caused it to go out of bounds. Jackson lost the ball when his hand was hit (which shouldn't even be a foul according to this rule, you just get the ball back) Jackson then touched it and deflected it a bit with his right hand. He didn't have possession again.
It says caused, Barnes caused it. Thunder ball. The rule doesn't clarify things. What if Barnes slapped the hand and the ball went off of Jackson's leg?
Clippers choked, and it did look like Paul got hit on the last play. I hate that refs are even a part of it.
Caused is a vague term, indeed. I think it means that the initial motion of the defender has to directly cause it to go out of bounds. I don't think the pinball theory works. If he hits your hand and then the ball hits your knee and goes out of bounds, I think the ball goes to the defender's team.
