Why does it say, Event Ended. That discourages people from watching. Tell them I said so.
Nice question jlprk.
I was known on the ESPN board for such shenanigans...
My question finally appeared in writing at least 5 minutes after I sent it. They take their time before approving questions.
A 'break down' is pretty much what I expect, too.Sarah Hecht and Orlando Williams break-down tonight's matchup against the Miami Heat.
Lucky dog. No wonder you were so feverish in your desire. Five minutes of eternity, no doubt.I caught snatches of her.

Well here’s how long it took. I typed the message. I hit send. Nothing happened. I noticed there was a Facebook button. I don’t do Facebook or Twitter. I waited a minute. I wondered whether they had answered me and I had missed it. I saved my question in memory, so I could paste it and send again. Time passed.
I decided to employ an emergency backup backdoor route: I would depend upon Sly. I would post my question on the message board, and hope that he would instantly forward it to the Blazers show in progress before it ended. The chance of success was slight, but it was my only option. This decision did not come easy, but the waiting had made me desperate. I opened a second window, went to SportsTwo, and entered the thread.
This dramatic turn of events was not without cost. Now I had two windows open, each with a video. One was a half-second after the other. That’s right. I was listening to Sarah in stereo. I logged in, pasted my question as a message, and composed my plea to Sly. I wrote a sentence explaining that somehow, my question had not gotten through. Maybe because you have to log onto Facebook first?
And then—a miracle! Crackling through stereo like doublespeak from a World War l radio, the voice of Sarah said my name! Yes, she said jlprk, the name I have cherished since birth. She was reading my question. With furrowed brow, I looked at the scrolling questions on the screen, and there was mine!
But her voice was unclear. The two windows competed and her voice would go silent for a second while my computer’s memory would catch up. I hesitated a few seconds, fearful that if I closed one window, the other would not perform. I took a chance. I closed SportsTwo and my almost-finished post, leaving the Blazers window open, and—the worst happened! Her voice, the voice of the flowered valley, went silent, then came alive, then went silent, on and on as I tried to listen to her speaking directly to me. I caught snatches of her.
By the time the guy answered, I could hear every word. When the program ended I returned to SportsTwo and stated that the wait had been at least 5 minutes. But Sly doubted my word! He said that they answer instantly! Were you there, Sly? Did you go through the hell I went through?

Okay, you edited and now you say the question appears instantly. It didn't. It appeared on the scrolling questions on their website at about the same time as she read it. It was a long wait!
When I typed that, I was psyching myself up to mow my lawn for the first time this summer, often an ordeal. I just finished, timed for game time, and it was a cinch. Looks like I'll be writing a book every time right before I mow the lawn.
I wish Paul Allen could buy a GOAT.Buy a goat.
