Remind you of anyone? :devilwink:

Dennis_Dixon_88899.jpg

he was the one in the car accident right?

yeah he was a passenger. He also through for 310 yards and 3 TDs in one quarter dammit! dont ruin my optimism!!! :sigh:

lol im not saying anything about him bad. i was just wondering cuz i couldnt remember....he has a lot of potential

I'm excited about Darron but worried about their depth at QB.

lol I know.. I just gotta fit in around here. And most of the time (at least when its Blazer related) the way to fit in is add exclamation marks lol.

DT ftw!! He seriously has monster potential. Very highly touted player (way, way more than Masoli ever was), and now he has all of spring training to get ready. Here's to hoping he stays healthy and puts up 310 and 3 in every quarter (or at least every half ;))

Can you guys post some stuff about him. I know nothing bout him or what his story is.

He is gonna be good. We got him from LSU I believe.
yep he decommited from LSU and came here. The thing that excites me the most is look what Chip Kelly did with Dennis Dixon with only a summer of working with him. Darron Thomas so far has had 2 full years!

Don't worry. Losing Masoli doesn't hurt our depth at QB at all. Our depth at RB on the other hand....:devilwink:

lmao I was waiting for you to chime in on this Nate.. dammit

Katz is going to pick the Ducks apart. It's going to be SWEET!

Katz has a hell of an arm - he throws that thing like a rocket. It'll be interesting to see if he's able to develop some touch on it and maintain good accuracy.

for some reason i have a lot of confidence in katz...osu has had good production from qb going back to moores senior year..it must be an easy system or something because moore, canfield, and moevao all have had good years(when all 3 had previously struggled)

Just keepin it real :devilwink:

lol sorry I still refuse to think that someone who is upset with reaching a #2 ranking before injuries, a top 10 finish, and a Pac 10 championship and a BCS game berth, is "keeping it real" :pimp:

And just think how much better they would have done with a REAL quarterback :devilwink:

Sorry, but I will always long for the days of Joey Harrington or Akili Smith. Masoli doesn't have the arm to be a quarterback, and this is proven by the fact that we run the option. When have the Ducks ever run the option until now? I realize Kelley is just trying to maximize his talent, but fuck.... go get a guy with an arm and a brain and run the west coast.

Think how much better they would have done with a drop back QB running the Spread? Its fine that you dont like it.. but you cant argue the results.

YEAH BABY!

Sorry I forgot to mention that the Darron THomas AND Kats era is upon us. Thanks for reminding me to include that in a Duck titled thread :devilwink:

no shit, must every single Duck thread be hijacked by OSU fans? How hard would it be to do Beaver talk in a thread about them?

The Dixon comparisons were made back when he signed and I've been excited about Thomas since. Hopefully he has the head for QBing at this level because he sure has the physical tools. With 2 seasons as the understudy, almost all the offensive line returning, and a bevy of good weapons to tap, it's hard to imagine a better situation for him. We'll see...

1:33 in for a highlight :)

they've 4 guys still. Costa, Thomas, Hawkins, and Bennett (who I'd imagine they'd like to redshirt)... thats enough depth.

From what I've heard, it sounds like Thomas is a stud. I was told that even LaMichael James was telling WR recruits that Thomas is better than Masoli so dont be worried about not getting thrown the ball.

I hope you and LaMichael are right. I was watching Darron warm up before the Utah game last year, and MAN he throws a pretty ball. Granted it was a warm up and no pressure. But just from him and Masoli standing next to eachother warming up, it was obvious who the more polished passer was. I expect there to be a little more balance in the Rushing and Passing attack now that there will be no Masoli.

It's Katz, not Kats. Not to worry though. You'll have it memorized soon. :smiley-boxing:
