Politics The Deep State

FBI/Comey weren't pro Clinton. Rather than say, "there's nothing to it," Comey detailed her crimes, then fell short of recommending prosecution. Then he announced he was looking at more emails toward the end of the campaign.

The CIA, though, is clearly partisan. The gist of this article is spot on. It's one thing to be for or against a politician/candidate, it's another to advanced ridiculous materials that aren't worthy of much more than a cursory glance and a good chuckle. The outgoing CIA director clearly threw bombs at the incoming president.

The question of when it becomes treason is a good one. To undermine the elected government, like that government or not, is treason.

Hi, welcome to the OT section. Not sure if I've seen you around these parts.

And yet people are heroically managing it. They should be applauded!

this whole idea of a Deep-State is very concerning as well. Hackers, whistle blowers, leakers, Russia? I feel like there are more moving parts than most can even imagine.
If you're really worried, and not just trying to deflect attention from Trump's rampant corruption and possible treason by trying to blame the messenger, let me reassure you. This so called "Deep State" used to be called a "bureaucracy" before it was decided that that didn't sound sinister enough. And, as Lenin (one of Steve Bannon's many ideological lodestars) found out, when you try to get rid of it, everything goes to shit. Turns out you actually need career bureaucrats who know what they're doing! Who knew? Well, other than people who live in places like Somalia and Yemen, that is.

Where was Denny when our heroic president Nixon was being treasonously attacked by elitists and swamp-dwellers?

in neither of your googled definitions does it mention "government agencies".

forrealsies

The government agencies aren't invoking freedom of the press. When it's government agencies, it is sedition, or treason.

So given that the Trump administration is neither established nor ordered, it's impossible to commit sedition against it?
