Just was sitting next to the future legend himself and asked him what his nickname is or wants it to be. He said on and off the court he's goes by "Dame". That's it..... Nothing fancy or anything..... Just Dame. Said people at Weber St. called him FlyBoy. So from now on he's known as Dame to me!

What a hot Dame!

Look at him weave through traffic--that Dame's got legs!

Kobe got excellent penetration on Dame. Totally broke the Dame down and had his way, and there was nothing Dame could do. But that's the kind of guy Kobe is.

Dame? Lame, but that's the name of the game.

Dame it is. Thank you for that little tidbit of info, HCP!

There is nothing like a Dame.

("Flyboy"? Utah really is stuck in the '40s. I bet they really kicked that hot jazz over the PA at Weber State games.)

Hope we can change it someday to Big Game Dame.

The player doesn't get to pick his nickname.

I'm just hoping it doesn't become Amian.

Can we get a "THE OFFICIAL" added to the thread title? Humm baby...

...I wonder why Dame never mentioned one of his middle names as it starts with the infamous letter "O" and has a nice ring to it:

Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard

Because he wants to keep it on the D-lol!

Does't the word Damian mean "son of the devil" ? Certainly we can work that into the equation.....

I stand corrected:

"Many people seem to believe that Damian means the son of the devil, but these people are wrong. Damian in fact means 'to tame', and comes from the old Greek language. It was in Greece that this name actually derived."

Sadly "Dame the Tame Lillard" does not have the same menacing ring has Damian "devil child" Lillard or "spawn of Satan Lillard.

You said "To Tame" not "The Tame" as in he can Tame the Beasts of Basketball or he can Tame the Game. Clearly we should call him the Hoops Whisperer.
