Re: The Game; he's underrated
The Game is very underrated. he's worked very hard to bring N.W.A and old-school gangsta rap back. People say "oh, he had 50 cent sing on all those songs" who the F*ck cares he raps and that's what rappers do. they can sing a bit, but nowadays that's all 50 does. Sings, makes songs about stupid things numerous times. Game makes mixtapes, freestyles and raps about real life. not about sex or drugs all the time. the song "dreams" should really be looked at as a classic in the future. But we'll have to wait to call him a rap legend, he has to drop his sophmore album first then we can predict better.

Seriously though, here's my take on it:When listening to rap, I hear a constant beat, someone talking to it, a voice overlays in the chorus. The lyrics of these songs are primative, talking about smoking weed, sex, drugs, fighting, and violence. Many of these rappers defend themselves by saying that "It's where we came from," but does that really give them to right to advertise violence through lyrics and video in today's society? The music itself isn't even interesting. I used to like rap for 2 weeks, and tried to get into someone other than 50 Cent. What I heard, was a bunch of stuff that resembled eachother a ton, and not alot of "beats" worth listening to againIn my opinion, the only reason people like rap is because it's the "in" thing to do, and if a black person doesn't llike Rap, Hip-Hop, or R & B, they are considered outcasts. It's pathetic, and if a black person is to focus more on grades and dancing, he is insulted. I've seen it many times.Rap music itself is repetive and boring. Rap music breeds violence and misunderstanding.Rap can't make your spine shiver like a guitar solo in a Progressive Rock songRap can't make you feel numerous emotions within one songAll Rap can do is stereotype people, and make them seem happy about themselves that they are the same as everyone else.Rap is garbage
