Watched John Wall again last night. This guys is a fricking phenom. 25 points and 6 assists. The only downside was turnovers with 7, but the game was being played at a crazy pace. When Kentucky was down by 1 with seconds to go, he came through the lane, got hammered and finished them off with an and 1.

I watched him at the team USA game last year and he was by far the best player. Before that game I had not heard of him. Maybe he will come out and we can get the number one pick this year.

Maybe he will come out? He is one and done unless injured IMO.

When informed about Rudy's injury my wife said "Damn, the Blazers need to shoot the moon at this point" And I said" Well if we lose enough games we could get a high draft pick".

Here's to the Blazers shooting the moon and picking up a great talent and getting all their injured players back super healthy for next year.

same with me (assuming you're talking about the Nike Hoops Summit). Didn't know who to watch for on the US side but he was just phenomenal. There's no chance we can get him, but he'll be fun to watch in the NBA, no doubt about it.

Seriously, if any coach could thrash his potential it's McMillan.

Sadly, I was only 1/2 kidding.

lol I know.. The Nate bashing wasnt what was getting to me before.. but today you are being creative with it.. and I for one can appreciate that lol.

Not that difficult to imagine Nate not being totally behind a 20 y/o PG that averages 35% from college 3pt line, and 5 TO/game.

Dunno about the "scrap factor" though...look for it Draft Day?

Bilas: "Wall has amazing Tremendous Upside Potential. He's really long."
JVG: "He's a heady player, who makes those around him better"
Nate: "Yeah, but we've got his Scrap Factor down in the negatives. He'll have to work on attitude and Scrappiness if he wants to ever sniff the floor".

Kentucky plays an crazy ass up and down system. Turnovers of that amount will happen in college and playing a lot of helter skelter transition ball.

Read and learn kiddies: any thread on ANY topic can be turned into a Nate-bashing thread if you have just the right amount of monomania.

No it isn't. It's almost as if some people can't think of anything new to say.

Well what else is there to say? When a problem persist, people bitch. That is the way of life. WTF else are they going to talk about?

To think the Ducks were on his short list for awhile...that in itself says something about the UO being known nationally.

I didn't see the game. Wasn't if 64-61 or something? That doesn't exactly sound like an old school Loyola Marymount score . . .

Maybe about John Wall, you know, who the topic is actually about. :dunno:

I watched it. If you remember the Nolan Richardson Arkansas teams and their 40 minutes of hell? That's how both Kentucky and Connecticut play.

Kentucky got up 64 FG attempts in 40 minutes

Is 64 FGA in 40 minutes a great pace to play at?

Lets put it this way. There was a lot of up and down with no results for spurts of the game. Both teams hustled and made defensive plays, hustle plays to stay alive. Multiple runs by both teams. Top it off the Garden crowd was really into the game. A great game to watch.
