A big problem last year was the coaching on the team. Larry Brown was completely the wrong coach for this team, and proved it last year. He had the players trying to play in a way they had never played before, and for the players on this team, that he had them playing to their weaknesses, and not their strengths. This was a good team for running, fast paced, break down your defender one one one with the ball and try to score like that. Larry Brown had them trying to play the slow down, pass the ball around, motion type offense That was never going to work with this group of players, and he should have seen that after the first month and changed his coaching method. Another problem was the cohesiveness, and chemistry which was also alot of Larry Browns fault. He never stayed with one set rotation, or unit for lengthy periods of time in games to develop the team chemistry to do anything. It's hard to develop any type of chemistry when no one on the floor knows how long they will play that game, or even if they will play that game. Every player has something about him he likes to do and doesn't like to do, more time on the floor with each other will help them know what each teamate likes and doesn't like to do.This year, like everyone else, I think we will see a more set rotation for the players to get better chemistry and more time together on the floor. We will also see Isiah Thomas take off the training wheels, and let these guys just go out and play basketball. I think we will see more up-tempo run and gun style game, with the ability to break down defenders being a big part of this offense. Also, we will see the rookies play more, because one thing Isaih Thomas can do very well is develop and coach young talent. He did it in Indiana with players like O'neal, Tinsley, Artest, Miller and others. I think we will also see him mold and develop Frye, Robinson, Lee, and Balkman into good young players.
