What do you have to say about the "journalistic" points of the article, Chris? Did he go overboard? Does him "stabbing (democrats) in the back" take away from the points he's making about journalism?
That's what I was getting at as well. It's clear he's no democrat, that's plain to see. But I think his points are very well taken.
The problem is that if your a democrat (I'm an independent), fraudulent votes are fine so long as their yours, reporters that openly lie is fine so long as it helps you cause...
So the questions remain- where's the integrity? The honesty?
Where is it? It certainly isn't with Card. He's a partisan hack who pretends to be something he's not.
As for his points, it's just a one-sided view. Ask yourself this - if the media doesn't report on these things he's talking about, how does he know about them? Is he an investigative reporter, giving us a scoop? No, he's just giving us a biased compendium of things he's read. In the media.

There is no longer any honesty or integrity in reporters. And the new "Fariness Doctrine" will severely dampen freedom of speech and ALL will be taxed for the sake of the very few and those in power.
ALL will be taxed for the sake of the very few and those in power.
As long as I'm one of the few that gets to drink that sake, I'm ok with it.

Actually, I feel I owe you an apology. Sometimes I get carried away.
I don't see any reason you'd owe me an apology.

I try and be a bit more fair when I feel I'm debating a point. My "game, set & match" remark was idiotic and a cheap shot. Unnaceptable. Besides, I have a lot of respect for you and have for some time at the boards we've been at together.
Yeah. Orson Scott Card is a Democrat like I'm a Martian. He has a history of claiming to be a Demo, yet stabbing them in the back and encouraging readers to vote Republican. Credibility = Zero.

The irony of people supporting a "credibility = zero" argument with a Wiki link never ceases to amuse me.
