Its crazy because yeah even in Texas often most of the students are all liberal - but the difference I noticed is more the parents. Even in Austin (liberal) I've been to dinners where its tons of conservative parents of college kids and their bitching about how liberal all the Texas colleges are. Other parts of the state the parents are even more conservative.

Kind of reminds me of OSU/UO - there were a lot more conservative parents at OSU vs UO. I sure wouldn't call either student body republican.

I will say those Austin dinners were before covid - Texas has had some radical changes to state education in recent years.
