Kuchar, Steele Tied for Lead at Memorial After Two Round

Two matches at home against Phil Mickelson made Brendan Steele feel inadequate. Two rounds at the Memorial gave him a share of the lead.

Steele put in a little more work and it paid off over two days in soft conditions at Muirfield Village. He had a 5-under 67 on Friday and was tied for the lead with past Memorial champion Matt Kuchar (66) going into a wide-open weekend.

McGirt tops Curran in playoff to win 2016 Memorial Tournament

William McGirt and Jon Curran engaged in the third straight playoff at the Memorial Tournament, going two extra holes on Sunday at Muirfield Village. There had not been a playoff at this tournament from 1993-2013, and just like that we've now had three in a row. All three have ended with first-time winners taking home the prize.

This Sunday, it was McGirt who topped Curran as both fought for their first title on the PGA Tour. The first playoff hole (No. 18) ended par-par, but McGirt had to get up and down from what felt like forever away.
