"We just need to take care of business."

"We need to bring our 'A' game."

"The only game we're concerned with is the next game."

Others?............................

We need to be more scrappy.

One of the best young coaches in the league.

They look(ed) great on paper.

Let the cake bake.

The players decide who starts.

We just need to hit our shots.

Anything Nate has said, ever.

Trying to justify whatever you are not doing by saying "That is not what wins ballgames come playoff time", then consistently having your ass handed to you in said playoffs.

"Turn it up in the playoffs"

"Playing down to their level of competition"

"giving it 110%"

"I'm feeling good, the knee is feeling good...."

He gets it done when it counts.

I hate that one and think Derek Fisher is the king of this one.

Will brick 9 out of 10 shots, but hits his final one and is the hero. Maybe if he would have hit a few of the shots earlier in the game, they would not need a miracle comeback to win!

Another favorite "The kid has great upside." Do not play a drinking game with this one during the NBA or NFL drafts!

This one.

Another cliche is "He never reached his potential" or "he's inconsistent".

More like not as talented as you think.

"LeBron had enough help."

"Tom Brady is clutch."

"Kobe's a top 3 player in the NBA."

"Red Sox don't have tainted and cheap world championships."

"Pau Gasol is not the best player on the Lakers this season."

"Titles in the 1960's mean as much as the Lakers' titles in the modern era."

Best franchise = Lakers. It still bothers me that the NBA was not as integrated and athletic in the past, so I don't think as highly of the Celtics.

I'd don't think 90% of these are actually cliches
