The new TV Season

I really only watch 5 shows. Since '24' has not started yet, I'll breakdown the other 4.</p>

I was disappointed w/ the premiere of Numbers. I knew they'd run w/ Colby working as a spycatcher. Though, last night was good. Its good to have Peter MacNicol back as Charlie's mentor.</p>

NCIS has been okay. DiNozzo working on a need to know basis for the director to catch the arms dealer was better than what Numbers attempted with a similar angle.</p>

House has been the best so far. Though, they should have kept Foreman and canned Wilson. The interaction between House & Cuddy has been great.</p>

CSI has been disappointing. The romance between Grissom & Sarah has brought the show down. There is less Det. Brass & the medical examiner.</p>

Numbers was solid, I'm glad they decided to keep Colby around. Whenever I see Charlie I think of him in Superbad. lol</p>

 

[Premier]

Pushing Daisies has been very well executed. The NBC shows [Monday and Thursday, that is] have been solid, as expected.</p>

 

[Denny Crane]

First two episodes of The Unit were incredible. Intense, and in two parts so we had to wait for week 2 to get the story done.</p>

Bionic Woman is a HUGE winner. It's the network TV version of Battlestar Galactica - both those old shows were kind of corny, but the new ones are dark and extremely well done.</p>

Cane is extremely good as well. I happen to favor the higher budget shows (movie stars, not just TV actors) with actual value to them over the cheap reality type shows.... It's a cross between the Sopranos and Scarface (Pacino film) with a strong Cuban flavor to it. Very well done.</p>

Dirty Sexy Money is looking like a big hit as well. Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh, again two movie stars. Already seems like the show has hit its stride, unlike many shows that take a few episodes to figure out the characters fully.</p>

I religiously watched Sci Fi Fridays the past few years. I like Flash Gordon enough to watch DVR it and watch it when there's nothing else really on, and I'm a huge fan of Stargate Atlantis. But since they canceled SG-1, I'm taking to getting Atlantis on the DVR, as well, and watching it the next day.</p>

Ditto. Outside of Fleinhart, Colby IMO is/was Charlie's biggest supporter.</p>

Chuck is downright awesome. Good comedy along with some great action sequences.</p>

Pushing Daisies looked good, but I was confused on a few things. I think I need to watch the 1st episode again.</p>

Nothing this fall has caught my interest. I'm a guy that loves a great story, like LOST for example, and everything thats come out this quarter has been a littlle 'been there done that'. Kitchen Nightmares is the only new fall show that I like.</p>

I'm of the slightly different opinion that Chuck sucks. I was meh on it and then they had the scene with the tracking devices in the pastries: as far as I remember, Chuck and Jayne were at a dinner with his friend and family, and left to follow the tracking devices, which they tracked to the store, where the friend, whom they had left at the dinner, was eating the pastries. And then I turned it off.</p>

I''ve enjoyed Californication's first two episodes, which each have one of the best sex scenes ever. And by "best" I don't mean anything close to "most erotic."</p>

I'm catching up on last season's Dexter, which is really good.</p>

I dropped Reaper, though. It was okay. But the extreme cuteness of Missy Peregrym and the awesomeness of his friends could not overcome the okayness, and I have to prioritize my TV watching.</p>
