It's entirely possible that Jerryd could have stunk it up tonight and completely pissed the game away and then we'd all be sitting here lamenting that Nate played him too much ... that said is Steve's 2-9 shooting and 0-4 from the field any better? (To Nate's credit Miller had the worst game I've ever seen him play and Nate limited him to 18 minutes).
I guess we'll never know what could have been, but I sort of suspect that Bayless at least being able to stay in front of a man might have made it at least marginally more difficult for Ellis to carve us up and I almost wonder if he could have gotten even more of their players in foul trouble finishing the work that Greg started in the first quarter. Perhaps he might have even collapsed the Warriors D and created some open looks for teammates; the dribble drive and kick to Miller for the wide open J wasn't bad ... not exactly the best target to pass to for a jumper, but the intent was correct.
I don't think there's much hope for Jerryd though, if he can't get burn now with Miller hobbled by two bad ankles and Blake seemingly incapable of sinking a shot it's probably never going to happen this year.
KP, if you're reading this, just trade the kid already and let him go somewhere where he'll at least get a shot to show whether or not he can play.
