Not to be too much of a downer, because it was a cool gesture. But the song they picked, makes my ears bleed. :smiley-yell:

Well, geez, stuff some cotton balls in them. Works to muffle sound, since it bugs you, or to sop up the blood, if that's not effective.

I posted this in another thread, but it's well worth sharing here. I loved Muhammad Ali

The super Melo thread has been overtaken in replies. A small positive from all of this.

I think it's great news that no Blazer player or staff member as far as we know is infected with the virus!

you link your threads and don't even grace HCP with a like for his? hmmmm…...give the man a like for positivity at least..and the Harry Connick Jr thread really belonged in the Music you listen to thread....sometimes ABM you make threads that should just be posts.....

No, the Harry Connick Jr. thread didn't belong in the music thread. It was a 2-hour special on Sunday night and I posted it it prior to being played on the west coast in case anyone her might be interested. Otherwise, it would be buried in a thread and probably gone unnoticed.

The special was a wonderful tribute to the many, many first responders, teachers, and regular people who do the little (and big) things to help make our world a better place to live.

Thanks for noticing, though.

I think the BLM protesters that protected cops from attackers need to be commended for doing the right thing at the right time in face of every reason not to.

Give the man a like for his thread instead of steering his traffic to your thread eh? I noticed that for sure.........

Likes are way overrated. Here, FB, wherever. Just my personal opinion.

At any rate, I gave him one......FAMS.

Hawai‘i families facing food insecurity amid the COVID-19 pandemic can find free keiki meals at Poi Dog Deli.

State Department of Education public schools are closed until at least April 30. While grab-and-go meal options will remain in available at several locations across the state, many community children who rely on school for between one and two meals daily may still have trouble finding meals.

During the closures time, Poi Dog Deli is offering $3 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with bottomless bowls of popcorn, which will be paid for by the restaurant’s new Keiki Food Fund. Every $3 donated translates into one meal for a local child.

If the fund runs out of donations, Poi Dog Deli has pledged that it will continue to offer the meals at $3 each until more donations come in.

The Keiki Food Fund will be around as long as children aren’t allowed to return to school, the Deli said in a press release.
