We had one of these for Kidd last year, and it was pretty successful. Lets see what we can come up with for VC.
A lot of us are expecting Carter to have a huge year. He looks healthy and motivated. I think Carter will have HUGE value by the deadline. He won't be bitching about wanting to leave the team, his stats will be amazing, and he claims he's accepted being the leader. What better time to trade him away for young talent, cap space for 2010, and a pick or two?
Trade Ideas:

Nets also get a first round pick.
Nets get back 3 promising players, a potential lotto pick, and shed Carter's salary for 2010. This also adds to our international appeal. Does it give us the opportunity to sign 2 big free agents in 2010?
Blazers get Vince Carter who is, again, healthy and motivated. It allows them to play Bayless at PG, and have 2 superior distributors at SG and SF (Roy and Carter). They also get a good defender off the bench. NetIncome suggested that the Blazers would be willing to trade young talent for a veteran, to avoid massive paydays in the future.
Problems: Gives the Nets 17 players, so we'd need to cut/move 2 players.
Potential remedy:

Heat get GS's pick.
