What don't you see at all? You just basically agreed with everything I just said.
You're right...reread the post and for some reason I read it with a different slant...blame it on last nights graveyard shift...I'm a bit blurry on Sundays

He's looked really good posting up guards in the playoffs. Plus he's another dude that can create his own shot or opportunities for others. Plus I think this team needs a bit of his swagger.

Aminu went from terrible to at least relevant as a three point shooter in Stotts' system. Meyers had no three point game when drafted, and now it's the only thing he does. Harkless started the season terribly from three, but was hitting them at 34% in the playoffs.

Turner is older than all those guys at 27, but maybe being in a culture dominated by the three point shooting of Lillard and CJ will rub off on him. I hope, anyway. Otherwise he's kind of like Batum but without range--an ok bench player.
I was thinking about Aminu when it came to Turner. Might he improve in our system? I think the evidence has shown most players seem to get better at threes in Stotts' system.

I see a lot of driving and dishing out for the three with him.

Any of you entertaining dreams of Turner magically transforming himself into a competent deep threat are delusional. He might post a modest increase just because of the number of open looks he'll get, but if he averages more than two attempts per game something has gone terribly wrong.

Odds are he's going to be put in the Nic Batum facilitator role and do his damage on drives and midrange shots and he'll be passing to Damian and CJ on the wing. Trying to camp him out in the corner is a recipe for failure. I just hope he can somehow cut down his high career turnover rate in Stotts' system.
I think he can become competent. However, no one is expecting him to become Klay Thompson. I'm fine if he's defense-first and attacks the basket opening up looks for other players.

Just for the record, Turner was 5th in 6th man of the year voting...

Ahead of the $20 million dollar man, Ryan Anderson.
Ahead of our own Ed Davis.
and Way, Way Ahead of Tristan Freaking Thompson.

Still beats giving batum 100 mil to sit on bench with back problems and dissapear in crunch time.
