Still seems unlikely. The estimated price tag for the Clippers is 1.2-2 billion, and the price tag for the Kings was 600 million-ish? that is a ginormous amount of money to just throw away. Granted the Kings roster is light years away from the Clippers.

On that note, hypothetically, would Balmer be able to retain and sell the territorial rights to a second LA franchise if he did move the team to Seattle? Just wondering.

They were the worst destination for decades and the bus stop of the league. Only recently have they become a name brand in the NBA. Would you really think it's a good thing to share the Lakers arena? Have to cover all those championship banners while you have...zero?

The fans and franchise are victims of Sterling. For then fans to endure years of shit, then get to be contenders and then just lose it at the blink of an eye would suck. The NBA wants a feel good ending to this and moving them isn't that ending. You really think that CP3, BG, etc would want to pick up and move to Seattle? The only ones who would want it are laker and sonics fans. The league owners won't approve any relocation.


Its not like LA doesn't have any billionaires that would keep the team in LA.
