But that’s not McMillan’s style—he is a former point guard, after all, and he prefers to slow the game down and call plays. When you have Andre Miller, one of the best post-up point guards in the league, and Roy, an ace when it comes to creating shots, in the backcourt, the slow-down method makes sense. Under McMillan, the Blazers have been a low-scoring bunch, but still pretty efficient offensively.

“He’s going to give us a different option than what we had with Andre,” McMillan said when the team acquired Felton. “Andre was a guy we could take advantage of posting up smaller guards. Raymond will be more of a guard that will be involved in pick-and-rolls and spreading the floor with his ability to shoot the ball and attack.”
