Obama-Joker Poster Causing a Stir in L.A.

Poster Showing President Obama as "Joker"

Poster Showing President Obama as "Joker"
LOS ANGELES -- A poster showing President Barack Obama as Heath Ledger's "Joker" character from "The Dark Knight" is creating a stir on the streets of Los Angeles where the image began appearing over the weekend.

The Obama-Joker poster shows President Obama with white face paint, dark eye shadow and smudged red lipstick and also has the word "socialism" printed in bold, dark letters under the image of his face.

It's unclear who created the image and who is posting it across the city. No one has taken credit so far.

The poster has also gone viral online, crashing the website that first posted images of it and rising to the top of Google's "Today's Hot Trends" list.

This is a brilliant stunt, in my opinion. It tells the truth in a way that's scary and pretty accurate at the same time. I hope this catches on around the country, and starts showing up everywhere. It could be an iconic figure.

As for this quote . . .

"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."

Uh, excuse me?? Time magazine (or was it Newsweek?) recently ran a cover saying, "We're all socialists, now." It's hardly a secret that our new president is a socialist. The "demonic" part is a judgement call.

A comic book character versus Adolf Hitler. Did "Hutchinson" speak out against this photo?

Let me take a wild guess and say, "no."

The Libs loved to compare Bush to Hitler, so it's only right that the shoe is on the other foot.

Vanity Fair illustration of Bush last July. I AM OUTRAGED! :)

Does anyone else remember this one?

I don't remember the outcry from the Left about this doctored photo.

Great stuff from the talented Friedman (as always). As "agents of chaos" go, W's right up there with the best of 'em.

Poor Joker, he doesn't deserve this. Bush isn't good enough to wear his face.

Anyone who has seen Dark Knight knows that Batman is George Bush and Joker is Al Qaeda. That has to really hurt all of the Bush haters who saw the movie.

would have been more appropriate if it had been Dick Cheney. Bush, most likely, would have been the guy who helped the pencil disappear. If that's too thick for all you out there, I'm saying Bush is just an idiot thug who has been used by Dick Cheney to meet his ends. Bush will not be remembered kindly by history, and is already frowned upon by his nation. Cheney is still largely ignored, and will likely go on to make millions after his term is over while Bush, if he attempts to run a business again, will, as per usual, drive it into the ground because he has no idea what in the living hell he is doing.

almost forgot to mention: the Joker's soliloquies from the film proved he wasn't insane but quite a genius (in a way, he was kind of like Guy Debord.), and on very sure philosophical footing. Bush is obviously the antithesis of this. He can't even construct a freaking sentence without sounding like an idiot.

It's okay, W. The people of Gotham turned on Batman also. I'm glad the black guy decided to go along with you in monitoring phone calls.

I am so glad Friedmen again proved to me why dropping my Vanity Fair subscription was a good thing. The faux intellectualism written in that schlock above is beyond anything I have seen so far in the rag Graydon Carter created. Bravo Mr. Friedman you probably lost more subscriptions for your scurrilous little book. And by the way when you actually learn how to form a coherent thought without falling into the morass of BDS find us.

Wait, you're telling me that was doctored? Prove it!

The Left never saw that photo, or we would have put up an outcry. The word is "warmonger", after all!
