I had never tried sushi....until I met my wife, She's, like, 100% full-bore into the stuff. Me? The jury is still out. Maybe it's just the "rawness" of the concept. Dunno.

Anyway, those of you who are sold on sushi, sell me (the novice) on something worthy of trying.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, meant for OT.

Spider and spicy California rolls are my top two.

Get a shrimp tempura roll. Fully cooked.

unagi.....another great one....marinated eel over rice wrapped with a seaweed band

Brisket & coleslaw in a pretzel roll.

Best sushi ever!

Hey, that is a great name for that. A blasphemy roll!
you just made Anthony Bourdain roll over in his grave...he hated nothing more than westernized versions of sushi...he devoted an episode to that and talked about why you shouldn't make a sushi roll out of western sandwich fixings..he called it his main pet peeve in cullinary trends

Fine, I'll rename it the Bourdain roll.

Westernized sushi is dope. Usually Koreans making the fusion.

Sushi is great, anything with tempura is good. Dragon roll is the bomb. Also they usually have chicken katsu at sushi places and that is great too.

katsu is a breaded pork chop. katsu don is a pork chop over rice...Katsu don is a great meal...I love it

It still comes in chicken…
Now, katsu can be found everywhere from convenience store takeaway bento boxes, to yoshoku (Western-style Japanese food) eateries and katsu specialty restaurants. The dish is primarily made with pork cutlet, but can also be made with chicken, minced meat, and seafood.Aug 18, 2016

didn't know it was used for chicken or other meats....in any japanese restaurant you order katsu and you get a breaded pork cutlet....never seen it in any other form in Taiwan or Japan....might be a newer thing in the westernized
sushi world

It’s been around in Japan in chicken form as well, it’s just panko breaded, which you can use other meats anyway

Tempura Philly Roll.

These are the best.
