You can tell they subconsciously are looking for a way out. "MOST LOYAL GROUP" then the next sentence is "we dont always agree..." they know what hes accused of is true, and they want to have it written that they are questioning him but loyal.

Trump brought up canceling the election during a speech to House Republicans attending a private retreat at the Trump-Kennedy Center and admitted he knows the Constitution won't allow a third term but continued to wonder out loud if he can run again
