If Dallas and the Lakers lose tonight and Utah and the Spurs lose tomorrow. There could be 7 teams in the West with 10 losses. Two teams with 7 losses and then OKC with 4.

Interesting....Very, very interesting...

That's why I was thinking this would be a good year to make a freak push to get to the finals.... but I don't know if this team is good enough. They have some nice pieces, but they're still missing something.

A real PG solves a lot of problems. It'll just be impossible to attain one this season, that's all.

Also, this season is unlike any other, which is why I won't get down on the Blazers for letting some games slip away. It's all about surviving the schedule at this point.

PG is not necessarily the problem. We need somebody that can consistently knock down outside shots. It might be Batum?

Batum averaged 33min as a starter last year and shot 36% from 3

Bad year. The year prior he was 40% and this year he's 41%.

Per 36 he would average 16 and 6 this year. Wallace averages 14 and 7.

Batum is our 2nd best player when given consistent minutes.

And the year before that he was 37%

As a 19 year old with a limited role. Continue exposing your lack of bball knowledge.

Open 3pt shots are open 3pt shots. You either hit them or you don't. Some do it more consistently than others, thus resulting in a higher 3pt%.

Batum is a career 37% 3pt shooter, with dramatic differences in shooting % every single year.

1+1

The one game Batum started this year he played 42min and shot 1-7 from 3, 5-15 from the field. Gerald sat out so there was no Batum looking over his shoulder to see if he would be benched.

You get better the more you play the game. The more game experience a young player gets the more comfortable and the better they become, especially at shooting. Its not rocket science.

I'm sure he did bad because Nate started him. It didn't have anything to do with his family spending the night with customs and his stalled contract negotiations...

If only I lived in a black and white world, like you.

In a perfect world, sure, we always think linear progression should happen.

Too bad it doesn't always happen like that. Players have ceilings and some are lower than others.

Also, Wesley shot 41% from 3 last year (which is what Nic is currently shooting). Was Matthews ever accused of being consistent? Nope.

Lol, nice try.

That didn't happen until the game after that.

Your twisting of the facts won't work on me.

I'm done with the Batum talk. You've been baiting the board about him with your schtick all week. I decided I'd toss you a bone....

Dallas lost. Lakers or Denver could lose this one it would help us either way.

No, it happened prior to that game.

His stuff with his family happened prior to the Kings game, yes. Not the Pistons game, the one which he started.

Another try at twisting the facts is stuffed.

Dude, you're an internet assassin, props. You're changing topics, sub-topics and arguing topics into topics. The relevance of what Batum did in the 1 game he started has nothing to do with him getting more minutes. If you want me to pull up all the garbage starts on the road that Wallace has had I'll gladly do it for you.

Bottomline is, Batum is a solid player who when given consistent minutes produces. He's our 2nd best player per 36. Fact.

Now back to the West.

Or are you still "SMH", or whatever you cool little guys do these days.

Batum is terrible and you know it!

Per 36 minutes mean nothing. No one that scores 8 points in 12 minutes automatically scores 24 if given 36 minutes.

Since ZBo's gone down with injury, the balance of power has clearly tilted to the East.
