The Who - Best halftime show ever!

Would have loved to have seen them younger, but it was great.

And the onside kick was a balls move.

Having seen the Who (one of my all-time favorite bands) about a dozen times, including their introductory American tour (as the beginning band for Herman's Hermits in the Glass Palace), I cringed in embarassment for them tonight as they were sadly tone-deaf, surprisingly out-of-sync, and a ghostly shadow of their formerly spellbinding selves.

The last time I felt like this I was watching a Parkinsons-hampered Mohammed Ali fighting several fights too many.

Obviously they were made an offer they couldn't (or wouldn't) refuse, but they should have at least practiced together for a few weeks to get presentable.

Sorry, but a bunch of geezers rocking out does not excite me. Absolute balless move by the NFL. I don't support some flash in the pan pop rocker stealing the show, but get somebody that has been relevant in the past 20 years. The Who? It's been 40 years since they sold out. LAME. 40 YEARS!

The Who have been practicing and playing on occasion. The drummer is Ringo Starr's son, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd also point out that two of CBS' top TV shows have Who songs as their theme songs.

While I think that might be a bit harsh, I didn't think this was a great performance at all, either. Aging rockers always look a little pathetic trying to recapture the magic of their youth. Compared to their youthful performance, this was much worse.

The Who have a physical act to meet the video age, but they kind of act like spazzes compared to Mick Jagger. Movements are too exaggerated. I always felt the group's IQ was below the other leading 60s groups. (You have to listen to them talk.)

You have to listen to them talk.

Really? I have to?

I think I'm in a different nursing home than they are, so I don't have to. Unless they put them on the loudspeaker. And I hope they don't do that, because then I might miss the announcement about the lunch menu.

Did you have a recent fall?

Did you have a recent fall?

Didn't everyone? But winter is upon us now, and we can only shiver as we wait for the first buds of spring.

I can only imagine the buds you're waiting for.....bud.

We'll have to unplug the internet in your wing. Tonight's entertainment will consist of piped-in repetitions of "I'm a Boy" from 6 to bedtime at 8. I've assigned a male orderly to change your Depends and tuck you in. Bruce is your new helper.

Agreed. A sorry end of a once great band.

The only thing I liked was the stage. They should have had Jay Z perform the Who were terrible.

Every time I see The Who nowadays, I just get sad. RIP Moonie and The Ox. They're just not the same band, the same way Beatles wouldn't be the same with just Paul and Ringo. That being said, Zak Starkey's cymbals with the RAF Roundel on them were really cool.
