...funny that you were jacking off Murphy last year and pontificating how the Yanx should give their kids a chance first...now suddenly he's become a throw away in a trade for Hicks...flip flop.

...and love the cherry picking on Hicks.............whoopty-fucking-do, he managed to hit .307 .375 .495 .870 in a whopping 101 ABs vs LHed pitching... why didn't you mention the other 251 ABs vs RHed pitching? ( .235 .302 .359 .661 ) ???....the answer is simple, it's because it brings his ENTIRE YEARS AVERAGE down to .256 .323 .398 .721 ...but you see that as "beefing up the RHed hitting dept"?

...classic, simply classic.

My ass! You're an expert at cheap shots, cherry picking and coming down with convenient amnesia.

...hmmm, I noticed you did not deny that you once again feebly cheery picked stats?...that's good, because you clearly did. If not, please explain why you didn't post Hicks' RHed batting splits?

...Hicks is a 2016 version of Chris Young, a platoon player...nothing more, nothing less...accept it.

Unless they trade Gardner Hicks is nothing more than a PT player.

"mindless" speak for your "clueless" self.......

those here who your calling "mindless" have more knowledge of the Yanks, than you ever will, as well as Diplomacy, in which your severely lacking.......

Two steps forward, three steps back, two steps forward,
five steps back.............and on and on it goes and Trashman
is aging quickly..........he just cannot seem to get back
to the glory Yankee years. He is stuck!

Cashman WTF is wrong with you. Since you're determined not to give the kids a chance anyway, package Gardner & Refsnyder for a starting pitcher. VYou moron.

Rick, lets just assume for a couple of minutes the Yankee GM is ANYONE ELSE but Cashman--- what "type" of pitcher (have a suggestion?) would you be willing to trade in exchange for Gardner and Refsnyder?

I think the Yanks should make a serious run at Chen possibly overpay him a bit to keep the contract length at 4 years up to he's 34 yrs old.
He's 30 years old, has been durable avg 29 GS per year, never had arm injury, made over 30 starts in 3 out of his 4 seasons, is good vs LH batters...and it won't cost a single ML player or good young prospect/young player from the Yanks.

As of now, Yanks are deeper and still "young" with Refsnyder still with the team.
Agree, Yanks need to improve the rotation...imo no need (yet) to rush and trade him or Gardy unless of course a good opportunity arises.
I know you're going to laugh but I believe Cashman WILL make a significant move (possibly two) to try and improve the rotation.
Let's see what happens.
Don't holler at me.....
th

...the Yanx "are deeper"?

...they are now without Wilson and Warren, who've yet to be aptly replaced...and also without Murphy.

...and what freaking difference does it make if Refsnyder is still with the team if he's got gonna get to play ?

...you've also been preaching about not spending money and getting rid of Gardner contract but now you suddenly want to "overpay" for Chen. And exactly how does Chen replace Wilson and Warren in the pen?...but yeah, the Yanx are deeper.
...You spend so much time blindly defending Cashman that you don't even remember what you type...at least be consistent.

I still believe that Warren was not left in the rotation is because the organization had no one with the sack to tell the Big Man that his big dollars were not commensurate with his meek performance and running him out there every five days was no longer an option. If off rehab by Spring I see the same dilemma so now Warren is gone with no suitable replacement. Ditto Murphy, the fans liked him, ditto the staff, and yes his playing time was limited but McCann was a damn good mentor. So Cashman deals him for another outfielder. Jesus Christ the stupidity just blows me away. And while I'm on that I'm not on the Gregorius bandwagon either after watching that guy leave battalions of runners on base. Thus far it looks like an impending season of mediocrity for this team, the big ball park in the Bronx will no doubt see diminishing crowds this year. To use a John Phillips Phrase I'm broke, busted, and disgusted.

I have a hair in my ass today, I dare someone to fuck with me.

...^^^you're exactly right. Warren was never given a fair chance because MANAGEMENT bungled his handling...first, after doing quite well, he was inexplicably taken out of the starting rotation to make room for the gas can called, wait for it...Chris Capuano. And then, as you pointed out, as CC was sucking and the Yanx were struggling for wins, they still stubbornly sent the fat man out to the mound every 5th day.

...as far as Murphy, Cashman is simply crossing his fingers that Romine/Sanchez will be anywhere near the caliber of Murphy...and you can't assume that the Yanx will even give those 2 kids a chance because hey, Cashman was even looking into acquiring Tyler fucking Flowers as a backup catcher.!

I'm watching Cashman on MLB Tonight rapping about how good CC Sabathia is and how important he is to the team. :biglaugh:

You know with all the player drug testing going on maybe its time someone should test Cashman.

Cashman sigs that old tune:

Counting flowers on the wall, that don't bother me at all,
Playing solitaire till dawn, with a deck of fifty one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo,
Now don't tell me, I've nothing to do.
