How do you think the Blazers establish tickets prices to cover cost of doing business, including wages for ALL employees, including players.

I live in a community where I have to pay a home owners assoc. annual fee. If I don't like it I could move elsewhere.
The point is whatever we do in life there is cost of some sort tied to it, and someone has to pay for it.
Im all for social assistance, but at the same time free loaders shoult'nt curse the very ones that assist.
I used to have a bunch of ball team buddies that we would go fishing or out to play darts or pool. A couple guys never had the money but we all pitched in an wanted them to be a part of our group. The problem is they never would offer to pay any thing, always I'm broke, then they would show in a new truck, or go to high cost concert. It got old and they were just freeloaders always looking to work a system. Nice guys but freeloaders and we used to give them shit about it all the time. Never made a diff.

How about when someone pays a good amount for a concert, so the cost of the workers and performers our paid and a profit is taken? How do you feel about that?

Like Jim Carrey said "liberals should embarrass socialism and not apologize for" as he cry all the way to the back and pays an accountant to save him taxes where he can.

What kind of system do you think works best?
To be honest Im a believer in a flat tax.

I’m not opposed to a progressive tax system as long as spending is controlled and it doesn’t finance huge government. I realize that social services andilatry need to be financed but keep it in check.

What people need to realize is that no matter how you structure the tax brackets, income tax is never going to get to “fairness” in taxing the extremely wealthy. A very harsh burden.

So lower income families wouldn't get the refunds they count on.

Instead of paying a much higher fed tax per check they would get a bunch more net per check. And there would be a lower bracket that didn't pay any as now.
A flat tax imo, would do away with loop holes and bogus write offs.
As an example if say income over 30000. a year paid a flat 7-9%, and incomes over 250000. pd 11-12& and incomes over 1 million 16% ect. Have it progressive.
Do away with all the write offs and do away with loopholes. Charitable organizations/Foundations would still receive contributions.
Just an idea.

Reaganomics, what a bunch of bullshit. Friedman got in Reagans head and handled him like a puppet. Keynesian economics brought us out of the great depression and saw the U.S. through many prosperous years.

Some expenses benefit society. Should they be taxed? I'm talking about charitable deductions such as church, United Way, Boy Scouts, Good Will and other charities.

Another thing to be considered is that some businesses are short sighted and if you don't allow them to deduct for certain business expenses such as upgrading, new equipment, research and other investments, also including employee benefits, employee wages, depreciation. What about expenses for new government regulations?

I'm afraid that most people deduct their church contributions as they should. But it would be nice to see them give the same amount from the heart.
