I am so pissed off watching them lost again to a team that is playing its 11th game in 18 nights, back to back, is not even good to begin with. OMFG

BTW, can we get PYATT and DOMINIC FUKKKKKING MOORE off this team. I know his wife died but he is completely worthless. He sukkkkkked in his first tour here and actually was useful in Montreal and Toronto but is terrible.

Very lucky to even get a point tonight. Unless an IMPACTFUL trade is made to infuse some offense into this team there is no point in even watching these games.

Falk was a bumbling idiot as well. Stop f'n taking MDZ out of the lineup. Stop putting Pyatt and Moore out there like you said. They freakin suck beyond belief. I'd rather trade Girardi right now. Honestly, he looks closer to being shot than having 4 more good years left.

If Marc Staal is out for a long period of time Sather isn't going to be able to give up MDZ anymore. Obviously feel really bad for Marc if this turns out to be another concussion, but we can't fill his minutes while also dealing a dman for some scoring.

Just all around bad.

They have top players playing like crap. Trade all you want but they have guys like Cally and Brassard to wake the hell up.

You know Staal is concussed AGAIN.....Its just the way it is for this team

The amount of crap teams like NJ this team has made look great this year is unbelievable. Which clearly shows what we have said all along. This team is average.

I think Marc's reaction slamming his helmet said it all. He knows what a concussion feels like and he knows he just got another good one.

Time to bring up McIlrath, play MDZ every game and dump Girardi. He's going to be another Redden defensively soon. Old at 29.

Girardi is like a 2007 BMW with 200,000 miles on it. Great car, still not that old but you know shit is going to break soon.

He is a warrior but you are right he has a ton of hard Torts miles on that body

What the hell is Girardi's obsession with just taking a knee on the ice and sitting there while guys are skating around him. Just sits there like a god damn lawn ornament. On the tying goal while Jagr was boxing him out he just took a knee and sat there. Never seen a defenseman do it as often as he does.

Same exact goal Miller had waived off in philly.

With the rangers luck or should I say lack of staal will be concussed again. If true, trading a dman not going to happen. What needs to be done is bring big mac up now and sit falk or moore as delz is better than both and get a crushing hitter in big mac out there to clear the crease and any cheap shots like jansen tonight from being unanswered. Next, since doesn't look like offense coming in a trade bring up kristo and put the kid on the 2nd line with richards and zucc. And lastly unless they have compromising pictures of av somewhere the 4th line of boyle, pyatt and moore need to be cut or traded for some size or draf tpicks but they need to be told cyaaaaaaaaa. Bring up Lindberg and whatever other guy is playing well down there to be the new 4th line. Miller played well tonight and should form a 3rd line playing wing with brass at center and cally on the other wing. Put hagelin who has also been pretty useless on the 4th line with lindberg and next best whale player. And memo to av... no more girardi, boyle or haglin on the pp period and no cally on the first one. Also, figure out a way with his speed and his long reach to get kreider on the god damn PK. This loss was disgusting tonight

Just the same old story. I can't believe everyone is so fired up in here. This is simply a mediocore team, same as every other season under Sather. There really is nothing to see here IMO. We'll be up and down all season, battle for a bottom playoff spot, either barely slip in or barely miss, and if we do barely slip in we'll be done early again.

Lather, rinse, repeat. This has been the same story under Sather every single season except one, so why would anyone expect any different? Why the fire and anger. When the same thing happens over and over again, and yet we all get upset over it, who is the fool? Nothing new here. Same thing for 15 years.

And of course that 1st NJ goal shouldn't have counted, but is that why we still couldn't hold a 2-1 lead? Is that why we had multiple chances to go up 3-1 and could not? Is that why we had PP chances to go up 3-1 and then 3-2 and could not? Is that why the Devs, who had 11 shots the prior night, scored 4 against us? Blaming that 1st goal for the loss is comical to me. Yes, that is why we still blew a 2-1 lead, and let the Devs score 4 goals, because that 1st goal was a bad call. Come on guys.

This is just like the Jet game. You feel good. Maybe you start to think we can get a roll going. And BOOM slap in the face. No more for me. This is what this team has been for 15 years now, so why will it change now? It won't...

Our defenseman which were an area of strength are now an area of concern. J. Moore constantly makes bonehead plays. Ott is having a miserable season in Buffalo. I don 't think it would cost much at all to get him. I'm thinking you could get him for D. Moore, Pouliot and a prospect like Fogarty pretty easily.

To me, Staal's career is basically over. I hate to say it. It's really unfortunately that 2 of our best, physical defenseman have basically lost their careers to concussions. Staal and Sauer. It's a huge setback to the organization but we have to move on from it now. I agree that now is the time to bring up McIlrath and let him start to figure out the NHL. Same with Kristo who really is playing with nobody down there since Miller and Kreider are up here.

For the first time I think this team needs to be dismantled. Brassard has been a worthless pile of crap this year. I'm pretty surprised after what he did last year here. Right now the only guys I would keep are Hank, McDonagh, Stepan, Kreider, Nash, Hagelin and Miller. Any of the rest could be trade bait.

Our biggest trade chip right now might be Talbot. I would have to think the Islanders have to do something. Nelson is a guy I like and I think Grabner is a big step up from the crap we are using on our 3rd and 4th lines.

Brassard has been Brassard of his whole career outside of the short time he spent with us last season. I guess we should have all seen that coming.

Staal, we'll see on. I am not sold he has a full blown concussion yet. Let's see what we hear today before we make that flat out call. BUT even with that being said, I agree he will never be the same. He was playing like crap this year anyway, and now he is made of glass, so his use as a physical dman may be done.

I have been saying for a few weeks now I would bring up McIlrath. Every other season I said no way, but this season I am good with it. At this point the kid has had many seasons to grow and get seasoned. The time is now IMO. Especially with our D really struggling.

I know you struggle to say it dump, but this is on Sather. The guy has been terrible here. Year after year same thing with this team under him. In a results business the guy has no results here. I don't want to get into a back and forth debate with you over this, so please don't come back rude, this team isn't worth that kind of angry debate IMO, but results are results, and Sather has done a terrible job here. Just the way it is. So while I agree with making a move like you said, that would requre Sather getting off the boat and actually doing his job, and I find that unlikely to happen.

When you look at how many times the team has made the playoffs the last 8 years, it's hard to say Sather has been terrible. There are far worse GM's. However, Hank carried those teams to the playoffs almost every year. Dolan worships Sather. So, wishing he is fired is pointless. I hope he just quits and turns the team over to somebody else.

So we made the playoffs...big deal. Do we throw a parade for making the playoffs and never doing anything once in dump? I mean come on man. Okay we make the playoffs as a low seed, never get home ice, and are done in the 1st round, and on a few occasions done in the 2nd round. I mean come on now. That is supposed to make Sather a good GM here and show he has good results.

I don't really understand why, but you love Sather dump. You have a huge blind spot for him. I respect your right to have that opinion, but it exists big time bro. Outside of one season, his teams here have never won two playoff series in one season. We really have never had home ice in a series. On and on with at best mediocore results man. That's just the way it is whether you love Sather or hate Sather. The results are the results bro.

And yeah, there are worse GM's, but this is NYC. The NYR. This is not Nashville. And yeah he never gets fired. That is why I have not said once this AM fire him. He has a job for life, sad but true. And that is why Dolan is an awful owner DESPITE that fact that he spends a ton of money on his teams. We need to hope he retires this summer. It is coming soon, not sure if it will be this summer or next summer though.

9:57AM: Larry Brooks writes in the NY Post that it is feared that Staal has a concussion.

Brooks says that the loss of Staal could be “crippling” for the Rangers defense.

To me we'll see to what extent. He skated off. He walked off. I am hopeful it is not to the same level it was a few years back. Maybe he misses a few games and then is clear. I agree though, as bad as Staal has been losing him for a long period of time would be a crusher.

If Staal is out for a long time I think I go to plan B. Make some moves. Rebuild some on the fly. Don't punt on this season, but make some moves with an eye mainly on next season. This team is not winning a cup this season. This team is not going far in the playoffs this season. We will have a lot of change next season based solely on the fact that we have a bunch of FA's this summer, and Richards will be bought out. So make some moves now that can help for next season.

I'll also say we need to plan next season not counting on Staal. He is simply too fragile now. If Carolina wants him, deal him for a middle package and move on.

But I would start making some moves now with an eye on next seasons team. Maybe next season we can be a real legit threat, because it is not happening this season. And the positive is we have a lot of contracts done after this season, so we have some room to rebuild a little and go a different direction a touch.

Brassard is a 6th overall pick who in 6 seasons has not ever hit 20 goals or 50 points. Not sure what more we're expecting out of him, he will never be more than a 3rd line center with some PP ability. And he's fine for the third line in my opinion. If Stepan and Richards were playing the way #1 and #2 centers are supposed to play Brassard wouldnt even be an issue. Hagelin-Brassard-Miller is a pretty good third line. Guys in the top 6, specifically Callahan and Stepan, are really killing this team's offense.

I think that is a decent 3rd line also. Issue is we have ZERO ability to get any goals from our 4th line, or even physical pounding play from our 4th line.

Stepan has been shaky. He is on pace for 15 goals and 55 points, but we need more like 18 goals and 65-70 points. I personally am not too concerned about Stepan. I think he will get better as the season goes on, just like last season. Maybe I will be wrong on that, but that's how I feel.

We need another top 6 winger with size. That is what this team needs badly. A big top 6 winger to go with Nash and Kreider. That would be a good trio. Cally as the 4th guy. Then You have MZA in the 3rd line mix with Brass/Miller/Hags. BTW...Hags has 1 goal and 3 assists in his last 14 games...not good.

We need another scorer, and real size that has some ability upfront. Our 4th line must get bigger and supply more pounding. That is what we need from them. We do not have that. Our 4th line is the worst because they cannot score at all AND they aren't big and don't pound, so they are a flat out zero. We also need size on the BL, which hopefully McIlrath can be.

I disagree about the mediocrity, this team took it to Pittsburgh a few weeks ago like no other team has this year. They have underachieved this year, slow start and sketchy play against teams they should beat which I would put on AV. While AV has improved the PP and breakout, some guys play with no accountability while others are scratched for a loose tape strip on their stick, don't think favoritism crap like that isn't noticed in the locker room. D. Moore wouldn't be on any other NHL team's roster if he was cut loose today, Pyatt might because another team would be suckered in by his size but in AV land they are everyday starters. This team lacks a Prust-type player and it should be a relatively easy acquisition unless you're Glen Sather. If the recently acquired Beach is any type of fighter I'd bring him up to play, enforcers are still a necessary evil in the regular season and Dorsett is too small to be that guy.

That's why Dom Moore is so useless, as many have pointed out. Love the guy but we have to be real here. He isn't big and doesn't pound anybody. But he also can't score. Yes he's decent on the kill and in the circle but Boyle does both of those things too and has more size, even if he doesn't use it as well.

If I'm Sather I put Moore on waivers and get Ott out of Buff. Shouldn't take much. Boyle-Ott-Dorsett is a decent 4th line with toughness and scoring ability. Then build a package around MDZ and either Miller or Hagelin (I think I'm leaning Hagelin at this point) for the best top 6 winger with size he can get. Any other prospect they want minus Skeji and McIlrath. Still think Kane is available and can be had for that, but the more we wait and continue to scratch MDZ the less chance we have of pulling that off. Also now need to factor in Staal's injury and who is taking those minutes.

The reason I'd try to trade Hagelin now instead of Miller is that if we keep Hags and get a top 6 winger that leaves a third line of MZA-Brassard-Hagelin. That line would be small even in a high school game.

Thanks for proving the point panzer. That is what makes them mediocore. One game they play well against Pitt. Play well against LA. Play well against Det. The next game they are blowing 2 goal leads against NJ. Getting beat by Winnipeg. On and on.

That is exactly what makes them a mediocore team buddy. And again, outside of ONE season this is exactly what we have been in every single one of Sather's seasons as GM, so why would it be different now???

People need to open their eyes on this team. We are what we are fellas. And have been that way for 15 seasons now. Come on.

Scratching MDZ game after game shows just how lost this franchise is really. A GM who is useless and does nothing. A coach who clearly is not a fan of MDZ. So the GM does nothing. The coach scratches MDZ game after game. And MDZ's trade value falls. No logic to it AT ALL.

Moore, Pyatt, Boyle all pretty useless IMO. I could live with one on my 4th line, Boyle would be the guy, but to have them all in your lineup is a death sentence. That makes your 4th line terrible. No bang and no scoring. The perfect combo...LOL.

Boyle/Ott/Dorsett would be a decent 4th line, Ott adds a touch of scoring and some bang along with being good on faceoffs, but again that means Sather actually has to do some work, which is unlikely.

I also would package an MDZ with a Miller or Hags for a top 6 winger with size, and we could get one for that package with another mid kid, but again Sather...work...unlikely.
