Didn't you pay attention to GCSE Science Max
. Those stars are many lightyears away from us, so we won't feel the consequences. Our Sun will never explode, though; it is too small. It will just run out of hydrogen and turn into a Red (or White) Giant (I think).

Lol science was never my Strong Point. I'm A Maths Guy.
I know our sun probably won't explode for the reasons you said. Plus none of us would ever see the Sun Burn out. Except for me of course.
