<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In an interview with the Boston Herald, Rod Thorn was asked how much time he sees Sean Williams getting this year. Thorn responded as he has before, that Williams needs more experience. But Thorn added that the Nets have been pleasantly surprised with Williams' offense and suggested the 6'-10" Williams could defend any of the three frontcourt positions. Thorn raved about the Celtics' Big Three in an interview with the Boston Globe, but added how Danny Ainge fills out the rest of the roster is critical.</div>

I hope he plays more than Collins, but I doubt he gets more than 20 minutes a game. He's just going to come off the bench and play the Josh Boone type of role. Not playing styles, but minutes wise.

I can see him playing around 9 minutes per game. He's still extremely raw, and he may get some DNPs throughout the season.

Playing him over Collins would be a huge mistake on the Nets' part. He's not just "raw," because the connotations on that word are too nice. I prefer the word, "skilless," because there are a lot of things he just can't do on both ends of the floor.

People act as if being a good shotblocker makes him a good defender, but his one-on-one defense was average at best for Boston College, and now he's playing on a much more competitive level without the three months of collegiate experience that most players have under their belt from last season.

I think he'll get around 6 mpg, with a lot of DNP's, ala Josh Boone.

I haven't seen him play much, but according to experts and scouts, he is one of the best players in this draft. Do you think he will be a special type of player in the future?

According to a lot of scouts and experts, he's not even worth a draft pick, period.

As for whether or not I think he'll develop, that's usually contingent upon a player's attitude, and from what we've seen from Williams, his is ****.

It's not the actual nature of the violations that are the problem. I'm an advocate for controlled, intelligent marijuana usage. However, he knew that he was jeopardizing his career in the process and continued to keep smoking. That just shows a lack of respect for his position and confirms the lack of the work ethic that everyone had accused him of having before his legal troubles even started.
