People that use the ignore button because they don't like some of the threads/post's people do take this forum to seriously. I would never put anyone on ignore unless they are harassing me. Even if they aren't the best poster you could be missing out on a good conversation. I enjoy the forum and for me, it's all in good fun!

Why do people use the ignore feature? Do some people's posts really upset you so much you just can't bear seeing them?

Personally, I don't have time to put up with the stupidity. There are a couple of posters who (a) post a ton, and/or (b) don't have any reason, logic, or common sense in their posts to make reading or responding to them worthwhile. With that said, we all make stupid posts from time to time, but when ALL you make are stupid posts you get put on my ignore list.

It's funny: it used to be the other way round and you would see the threads, and I found that it still pissed me off. Then it switched, and I realized I was re-posting stuff that was in threads that I couldn't see. So there's no perfect way (unless you're incredibly mellow).
