Yeah, that plan makes perfect sense

</div>
I said show Sean how to play basketball. Nothing to do with off the court. Stromile at this point is like a more advanced version of Sean. Sean's ceiling is obviously higher than what Stromile is, but even watching Stromile power dunk on everyone can have a good affect on Sean.
</div>

I'm only talking about on court play. The drugs smilie was about you.

If Stro is the more advanced version of Smokey, trade Smokey now.
</div>
Are you kidding? Ever since Stro was brought here he's been compared to an advanced version of Sean. Even the anouncers talk about it during the games. I didn't say that's the best Sean could be, I clearly said Sean's ceiling is way higher.

I think "advanced" is the wrong word.

"Worst Case Scenario" is more like it.

But, by all means, who could be a better mentor for a young player than Stromile Swift?

Maybe advanced was the wrong word. I ment more toward the lines of older and more veteran version of Sean athletic wise. They both have the same athleticism and size. Stro is stronger and Sean definately needs to get into the gym along with Boone. Once again, Sean's ceiling is way higher than what Stromile is tho.

Still not making a compelling case.

As ghoti said, Worst Case Scenario.

I guess your one of the Stro haters than, I haven't really seen anyone disagree that Stromile and Sean were similar until now. I really don't care and don't feel like convincing you.

I get what he's saying. Stro is basically Sean with a couple more tools. Swift is still a knucklehead though and has reached his ceiling. At this point Sean's floor is slightly below Stro's max. However, I don't think Swift is a good mentor at all with his lackadaisical approach to everything.

I don't think anyone has to be convinced of anything to not think much of Stro.

He's done all his convincing with his terrible career to this point.

i love how some of you are so high on sean "smokey" williams yet insist on calling swift a knucklehead every time you get a chance.

and i see what J-Hoagz is saying.. at this point swift is a more skilled and experienced version of williams. that doesn't mean williams won't become the better player in the future.

Stro and Sean are definitely similar. At this point Stro is a more complete player, but he's like 7 years older, and he's not really improved much since coming into the league. I actually think the Nets would be smart to keep him, if he gets the minutes he could be a decent bench player, but if they aren't going to play him, they should get rid of him.

William's second half has been a big disappointment, mainly because of foul trouble and fatigue, which is on him, and lack of opportunity, which is on Frank. I think Sean's ceiling is probably as a guy who can give you 16 and 10 with 3 blocks a game. He's not going to be a consistent 18-20 point scorer, but he can be an effective PF. He's more comparable to Chris Wilcox or a shorter version of Sam Dalembert. I think he can become a good shooter if he works at it, he's got nice touch. We can speculate, but it depends how much he works at it. Like Stro, the talent isn't the question, it's desire and smarts.

I have no idea what Sean Williams will become. He has a lot of work to do.
Whatever it is, though, I hope to hell it's not Stromile Swift.

In general intelligence, Sean is (apparently) smart. He played ball as a way to get an education.

Well he's not smart enough to know yet that maybe it's not a good idea to be singing in the shower after a 20 point blowout. Unless he's singing some depressing emo music, or the blues, which is doubtful.

Oh, come on. You see players joking on the bench during a blow out all the time. Let him be.

So it's not okay when Vince does it, but we just let it go when Sean does it? Right.

[Montross]
Yes. Because Vince never tries. And sucks. And is Satan. And Allah and Vishnu hate him.
