A-Rod leads the team with 8 strike outs

As a team the Yankees are batting 199 with a .292 OBP.

They also lead the league in errors.

Not to worry, this is all part of the plan.

...and the Yanx have not exactly been facing top notch pitching thus far either...but hey, it's only April 12th. :bgrin:

Allowed 8 unearned runs, by far the most in the league. BAD
Maybe it's time for Mr. Softie to clear his throat and stop acting like a diplomat.

I know these aren't the 1998 Yankees but Torre held a team meeting when that team was 0-3.

Also going into yesterday they were the only team in the league NOT to score a run in the 1st 4 innings of a game.

Well at least Gardner has tried to steal a base and has been picked off first base trying to get a big lead.

There have been to many pick offs to date. These guys need to stay awake.

Majorball, I remember your "Occupy Yankee Stadium" post last season. Need to fill that park to capacity with the fans holding signs and vocalizing that the Yankee Fan Base wants results not excuses. Spoiled Fan Base Bull. For years we followed a team that prided itself on accomplishment and success, now we are looking at a corporate take it or leave it from uncaring owners and an idiot of a GM. Shameful to see players like Mo and Jeter retire from a team that is daily getting its ass kicked rather than the opposite. Those classy pinstripe uniforms are now being placed on a bunch of overpaid underperforming clowns who are not worthy of being washed. If Girardi is the 2015 scapegoat for all this team fails to do I won't be surprised, the man deserves better than what his brass hats have given.

...me and mess were talking about this the other day...and I guaran-damn-tee you Girardi will be blamed and probably fired for the ration of complete shit he was handed by Cashman.

Cashman never stands up, he deflects and apparently just kisses ass. Who will be the next Gene Michaels?

^^^ I dunno, but I hope it's a real baseball person like Michael or Watson...Cashman was essentially George Costanza when he was given the job.

Seven teams at 1-4 in MLB. I think only 3 of those teams turn it around,
and one of them is not the Yankees (to turn it around)......

White Sox, Nationals, & Pirates will turn their miserable
first week around.

At this rate Jeter may be able to afford this franchise.

Gonna disagree here. I think Cash knows he is on a short leash, that's the only way to make sense of the redundant cya moves this off season.

I effing hope 2 plays from Yesterday's game are NOT, what to expect going forward....

I know 2 plays do not define a team, ...........

however Gardner's falling backwards all over himself, with that liner over his head, and A-Roid's inability to bend and scoop a ball out of the Dirt, are NOT going to be the Norm. Maybe for A-Roid it could be, (IF he's allowed to even play 1st base)....

#13s failure to bend enough to dig the ball out of the dirt, makes me wonder "can he even touch his toes"........just like Sandoval the other day, who did not bend over enough to scoop a bunt up. His fkn beer belly wouldn't allow that fat fkr to do as much........

WTF ever happened to MLB being a Sport, which Kids could emulate????

...hell, the Steins just gave Cash a new 3 year deal (and I still have not figured out why)...if the Yanx miss the post season for a 3rd year in a row both of them will be under fire...but I just think that Cashman has the Steins' ear and I don't think the Steins will admit they screwed up by giving him a new deal.
...if Cashman is fired it will probably be during the off season...but if the Yanx continue to play poorly, Girardi won't make it through the season.
...eventually, they'll both be replaced....I just think Joe will be first.

...^^^

The 'Brenner Kids, seem to of inherited a Team of which they know little about running properly, IMO......;

now if the Kids could only figure out how to fire themselves, or sale the Team to someone who can bring the Yanx back to glory years, and/or a Dynasty......while throwing Trashman to the Sharks.......

Even if a new ownership led by Derek Jeter himself were to take over this team tomorrow, they would STILL be saddled with the contracts of Beltran, CC, A-Rod & Teixeira. Face it, the sad reality here is whether its under old or new ownership this team ain't doing dick for the next 2-3 years.

Wow, you guys seem very anxious to fulfill all of your off season dire predictions.
Five games is five games, and we're not talking about 5 pivotal games in late September.
The team HAS played shoddy ball on the field and if this continues along with the current rate of errors, allowing unearned runs and averaging 3.4 runs per game.....then I WILL SAY there's a good chance they'll lose 90-ish games and finish in the basement.

But - I expect them to improve on those numbers, while hopefully holding their own in current categories such as having the 2nd best ERA within the division and tied (A.L) for 3rd in HRs.

Hang in there guys, I realize ALL the other teams are also playing under the same conditions but I think the warmer weather, and playing together longer will benefit his crew and help them gel as a team.....with more RUNS/HRs on the way.......yes, of course if the usual suspects get their ABs....lol. Imho

Have to admit, it is still VERY early, but 2-4 looks much better than 1-5.

GO YANKS!

I guess THIS part of my post (#22) you once again conveniently either forgot to read, did not read , or ignored.....par the course.

Can we not bring the SAME argument into EVERY thread?

...lol, I didn't forget to read or ignore anything...I gave the same garbage its due and responded with what I felt summed it up.
