Don't understand why we let go of Tim Frazier. Could easily be backup point guard with no Evan turner needed. This organization makes a lot of stupid decisions. He's averaging 11 and 7. Don't know why we stick to cj as backup point so hard.

Blazer fans seem to believe that every player, from center to point guard, must be a good shooter, or get rid of him. I see lots of talent for Plumlee at PF, and did for Sergio and Rudy. But Portland fans and coach always require everyone to be a good standstill shooter. They did so even before someone came up with this new propaganda about "the modern NBA has changed." Conversely, Portlanders overrate decent shooters when they do have one, like Meyers Leonard, and allow him 5 to 8 years before they cut the string.

A basketball team needs a more sophisticated talent mix than just shooters.

Who overrated Meyers?

A bunch of homers on this board. Until 1-2 years ago, they used to shame me into silence about him. A couple still talk about him developing into something, given another year. Even more still say when making up potential trades, "I'd rather trade Davis/Aminu/Vonleh/Plumlee than Leonard, because his shooting complements our nonshooting big men." I read it here all the time.

I was saying the same. I don't understand the love fest the organization has with the kid. We shouldn't of resigned. 5 years and I see no progress from him, the same mental weakness, he's a shitty shooter now, at least two seasons ago he could at least be 40 percent from three but even then he's not worth it. We also let go of players like will Barton and patty mills. Tim Frazier would of been very beneficial to this team. He could of ran the bench easily, tremendous play maker and quick. We didn't even give him time to develop meanwhile we give Meyers 5 years like what the fuck. They also seem set on cj running backup point when turner was supposed to do that. I just can't believe the mistakes this team has made the last year. The signings, letting go of Frazier. Didn't even really give Frazier playing time. Not even giving shabazz playing time. A little ridiculous sense this team is supposedly all about player development

I expected Gerald Henderson to start, with Microwave McCollum erupting from the bench. Henderson this season is shooting better percentages at 1, 2, and 3-pointers. Maybe we could get him. Trader Boob, what would it take?
