Maybe try going the same route as the Atlanta Falcon?

"Sports fans who have long criticized their favorite teams for the prices they charge at the stadium might finally get their wish of cheaper concessions.

That's what could happen if others follow the lead of Atlanta Falcons and United owner Arthur Blank, whose group revealed Thursday that, despite lowering their food and beverage prices to the lowest in all of major professional American sports, fans actually spent more.

Steve Cannon, CEO of the AMB Group, Blank's holding company, told ESPN that although food and beverage prices were 50 percent lower in its new Mercedes-Benz Stadium than the prices in the Georgia Dome the previous year, fans spent 16 percent more.

"There's a huge value in delighting your fan base, to make them as happy as they could possibly be," Cannon said. "We started with one of the biggest pain points and it paid off.""

This should be addressed to Nike....you want to sell jerseys? Shoes? Lower your prices and you'll move way more product....
I don't understand the business decisions of some of these people make.

Many people refuse to buy shit at a game because bottled water is $6. Lower it by 300% and suddenly, everyone is getting something at the game and you're selling shit that takes 20 cents to produce.

It used to be a common strategy in baseball that the worse your team was, the lower the price of beer and hot dogs. Give them some cheap hot dogs so they get thirsty and give them some cheap beer so that the get drunk enough to not give a fuck about how bad the team is.

...a little slow on the up-take huh? :dunno: http://www.sportstwo.com/posts/4349349/

@BonesJones PAY US OUR WINNINGS OR I PROMISE THIS YEAR IT WILL GET UGLY!!!

I lived right on the coast in Taiwan across from a park and public farmers market....a flatbed truck heaped with T shirts for about 2 bucks each sold out day after day...the fancy glass windowed T shirt shop next to it had really expensive shit in glass displays and charged a fortune....went days without selling one shirt

Also to Blazers Brass: Fire the damn coach already!!!

Thats the funniest thing about sports/business. I won't spend 7 bucks on a "hot dog" and 5 bucks on a cup of fries, but lower the prices to 4 and 3? I'd buy double.

There's a reason every frickin thing on TV infomercials is on sale for 19.99....that's what people will buck up without blinking...food....5-7 bucks will move some food.....3-4 bucks will move some beer

Lol. I'll pay by February. If not, you'll get $5 interest everyday. Perez still hasn't paid and he's going to in the next week and I believe someome on here might not have but I gotta check.

...you have 5 days, running out of time and baseless excuses! BONESinPDX.com has been registered :devilwink:

I'd rather pay more for a quality product that is well made and will last.

Yeah, I'll buy four $3 beers, but only one $6 beer...and zero $8+ beers.
This shit ain't rocket surgery.
Lmao. Hopefully this starts a trend. Paul Allen could afford to excitement with lower prices for a year.

Lower prices=Happier fans+More profit=Better business

A one-year thing doesn't cut it.
In 2006, the Blazers had suffered through one of the worst attendance years in their history. They were actually drawing as much as the Sonics (RIP) before they had to move b/c attendance. So the Blazers, desperate for season ticket holders, opened up an entire section for "Blazermaniacs." The seats were pretty cheap for that view, and even though we lived in South Seattle, I bought in b/c I would be able to go see ~20-25 games a year on weekends, early days off work, etc.

Then we won the lotto. Then Oden got drafted. Then we went on a 13-game winning streak. Etc.

Then the Blazers doubled the prices of those seats. Now, maybe that was about the price of the seats before they went on ridiculous discount, and after 1 year were rebounding them back up. But it was a huge slap in the face to the STHs that had bought in when not many others would, gave the team guaranteed money, and then got hosed.

The "trend" is that you can't trust the team to care about the fan vs. the shareholder. I'm ok with that, but they don't get my $ anymore

Maybe a bottle of filtered water is now $3.00? Nonetheless, just getting to the arena, paying the parking fees and lastly feeding a horde of children within reasonable costs is the true value of a pro sports ticket. I remember when the Lakers were "Showtime" and those at court tickets were outrageous. People are tired of paying too much and frankly, many of them only watch an NBA game for the 4th quarter. I once was an avid NBA fan who would always go to NY, NJ or Philly to see the Blazers. Back in the 80's, costs were more palatable for a fan. I got to see Dr. J and his entourage many times because I could afford it and I liked Mr. Erving..
