NFL legend Tom Brady has drawn up a game plan for a new career in stand-up comedy but his inner circle has been trying to talk him out of it, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to sources, “Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” said a source who heard the football star’s material.

“As a comic — he’s strictly a water boy,” added the insider. The Tampa Bay Buc’s ego inflated when Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno gushed over him in the recent comedy flick 80 for Brady, and sources said the experience left him feeling like an all-pro comic.
“The ladies were super nice to him and he did a nice job reading professionally written material in a small part — but he’ll be playing in a whole different league if he takes up the stand-up stage,” said the insider.

“He does a great impersonation of former teammate Rob Gronkowski — and his over-the-top Boston accent is hilarious,” said the sports insider.

But the overall scouting report is not promising, according to a source who got his hands on a couple of the quarterback’s kickers. One of his less-than-funny fumbles that landed with a thud with one Hollywood comedy writer was “What did the linebacker say to the flight attendant? Put me in coach!”

As RadarOnline.com first reported, Tom decided to postpone his $375-million Fox Sports deal, where he will be the network’s NFL analyst, until 2023.

He just needs to be retired period.

Comedy takes a lot of intelligence and you have to be extremely quick witted. If there was a guy that could do it it would be Brady.
I on the other hand think of a great response about three hours after the conversation happened. I will never be a standup comedian.

I've done some stand up and it is anything but easy. This is going to end in a funny way for sure, but not in the funny way Tom is hoping for.

I also agree that it read like satire. Won't be surprised if this is fake.

Is it April 1st already?

I imagine Brady getting his sense of humor from Belichick... Actually, I think I'd rather see Belichick do standup.

You make it sound @Fairly-Hard to do good comedy.

Did stand up for a year. It's hard as hell. Don't regret it a damn second. Being funny and stand up comedy funny are two totally different things. I may try it again now that I have more life experience, because it is intoxicating as hell.

That being said, this has to be satire lol

Tom Brady ‘open to starring in Netflix roast’ after NFL star reportedly ‘stalled $375m FOX deal to try win back Gisele’

TOM Brady is reportedly in talks with Netflix to star in a roast amid rumors over the NFL legend's plans to take up comedy.

The retired quarterback is seemingly keeping himself busy after delaying the start of his broadcasting career.

Brady, 45, has signed a 10-year, $375million deal with FOX Sports to become the network's football analyst.

But he won't jump behind the mic until the fall of 2024 as the NFL icon reportedly wants to make one last attempt to win back his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.

Recent rumors also claimed the seven-time Super Bowl champ could venture into comedy before joining FOX Sports.

But the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star might still share a laugh or two with his fans in the near future.

Brady is believed to be working with Netflix on a roast special, TMZ claims.

The entertainment news site claims the show even has a tentative title: The Greatest Roast of All Time.

Patriots broadcaster Scott Zolak says Tom Brady to Miami is in play

Zolak said on NBC Sports Boston that the possibility of Brady playing for the Dolphins in 2023 is real.

Brady may go to Miami. I think that’s in play. I do. I think the possibility of him coming out of retirement is definitely 100 percent in play,” Zolak said. “You can sit there and look at the kitten tweet from yesterday. Don’t buy that.”

Zolak noted that several media people with connections in the football world are saying they’re hearing that Brady could play in the right situation.

“This isn’t me saying it,” Zolak said. “This isn’t someone close to Brady. It started with Rich Eisen. Eisen’s at the Super Bowl. Multiple people dropped the hints. Colin Cowherd, he knows some Fox people. I don’t think he’s gonna call games. How does that deal get done? How do you sign a guy to that $375 million, 10-year contract to call games, he’s not even gonna do it next year. I know his handlers have moved to Miami. It’s built for him. He’s looking at private schools for his kids. Cowherd talks about the San Francisco offense. He’s not talking about San Francisco. He’s talking about Mike McDaniel in Miami.”

Brady himself says he’s retired, but Brady also said he was retired last year before changing his mind. None of us knows for sure, and Brady himself may not know for sure, but there are plenty of people in and around the NFL who think that when Brady hits free agency on Wednesday, he may field some calls, and that if the right team calls with the right offer, he may accept.

He would add another trophy if he went to the Niners or Dolphins. At least he would have a good shot at it.
