Of course we have to play the cavs in what will be their only must win all year. Its unreal. Every other night we would likely win... but we get them on the brink of history. You know they will play their game 7 tonight while the blazers look as motivated as lindsay lohan during a 6am photo shoot after having a "few drinks" the night before. seriously though....we get killed by pacers. la gets snubbed twice in 2 days, and now the epic los$ for the whole country to see.

this has to be hopefully the low point?

So you think the Cavs are the only team with motivation here? Interesting.

lol... im guessing you missed the pacer game.

motivation? how about gone fishing?

So if the Blazers win, is the next game going to "sum up" the season? And if they lose, no more games will "sum up" the season?

hey if you dont care about losing to cavs... thats your call.

for me it would be rock bottom.

how about this bet? If they lose to the cavs, I won't post for 3 weeks. If they beat the cavs, you don't post for 3 weeks?

if it spurs Cho (mgmt) to make some deals that maybe they wouldn't because of playoff hopes then I'd almost prefer us to lose. I don't want to make a trade for the sake of a trade, but if parting with Camby-Miller and others can get us a good piece or two for the next several years then I'd prefer to do that.

I hope we lose so in your eyes the season is over, then maybe you'll stop wasting our time with these threads.

all i know is we had no life last night.

grizz made a great comeback last night and have won 5 straight (8of9)

while la sulks and we get killed by pacers.

lovely.

I don't understand how awin tonight sums up our season. But, you don't really care about having a discussion, do you?

it sums up our season as bad luck. timing is everything?

every other night the blazers would easily win this game. our luck (this fucked up season) we get to play the cavs when they need a win the most. really really awful luck. they will play hard tonight.

This thread sums up Mixum's season of hyperbolic posting.

But you said the season was over three weeks ago. Why are you still pissing your pants over a season that's already over?

Go Blazers

It would suck, but shit happens sometimes.
Thats all you would say if we lost to the C A V S ? ? ? Shit happens?!?! I don't care how injured you are. This cleveland team is one of the worst ALL TIME teams EVER. It wouldn't just be a shit happens moment, it would be tremendous shame.

Why would you want Mixim to not post? Just because he is the only constant voice of reason on this board and isn't 100% riding the blazers dicks, you want him to post no longer?

Your green font is broken.

The seasoned was already summed up by injuries.

BAM! We could win by 30 tonight and it doesn't mean shit! We are a team decimated by injuries and we are lucky to win any games at this point! A loss means nothing more then a win would.

I think that a loss tonight would be bad, but a win wouldn't be a big deal.

That's the unfortunate spot the Blazers are in: they still have teams that they are supposed to beat, and the Cavs are one of them, but Cleveland is overdue for a victory.

Tonight might be a microcosm of our season, but it doesn't end it.

Ed O.

I'm glad Ed was the only one who got the point ofthis thread.

It figures we get the cavs on the only night they are gonna play their hearts out

Ed created the point that you failed to make.

You know what's funny is that ESPN's "Pick Center" only has us winning 96-93. And it says the probability that Portland will win tonight is only 57%. How does a team that's lost 23 straight have a 43% chance of beating a team with a winning record?

I guess they have to be taking emotions/pride/effort into account as the Cavs fight to not make history.

I honestly think we lose tonight. The offense is struggling and the cavs can score. This is game 7 for cavs tonight. Like I said bad situation for blazers. We won't win tonight.

More like it's Game 4, and they're down 3-0 and playing at home.

Not to say we can't lose this game, because on any given night . . . and I do expect Cleveland to come out with their best effort. But I'm not too worried about shutting down Christian Evenga and Manny Harris (starting SG & SF last night). They are actually near the bottom of the league in team scoring. Actually, they are near the bottom of the league in just about every category you can imagine. They are a bad basketball team.

The thing about tonight is...the Blazers actually have the advantage when it comes to the bench.

When the Blazers lose it's usually because of their bench or getting pounded on the boards. Those two things shouldn't be a huge problem tonight.

And besides being a random piece of NBA trivia that no one (besides Cavs or Blazers fans) would remember two weeks from now where's the shame? These guys get paid just like every other player in the NBA and with Matthews hobbled, Nic on a sore knee, Camby out and one of the shittiest benches in the league I'm not sure where the "shame" would be in losing to another NBA team.

Pop quiz: Who did the Nets beat last year to break their long losing streak? Answer: Who knows and who cares.

Better question. Do you know who held the old losing streak record, or who they beat to stop losing?

Probably not, and who cares.

Nope, and I probably won't remember it 2 days from now even after the two Mikes talk about it during tonight's game.
