Ok, enough talking about bad memories in regards to the Blazers and the draft. Who are your top 10 Blazers draft picks of all Time. Here are Mine
10. Arvydas Sabonis
Sabonis was drafted by the Blazers with the 24th pick in the 1986 draft. He didn't arrive in Portland until 1995 as a 31 year old rookie. He became one of Portlands best all time centers. He was one of if not the best passing centers in the NBA.
9. Geoffe Petrie
Drafted with the 8th pick in the 1970 NBA draft Geoffe Petrie, a versatile player and prolific shooter, one of Portland's best all time guards deserves his place here, maybe even further up on the list.
8. CJ McCollum
The Blazes drafted CJ McCollum with the 10th pick in the 2013 draft. After a period of time playing behind Wes Matthews, McCollum came into his own and has become one the best offensive players in Blazers history.
7. Jerome Kersey
The Blazers picked the Enforcer with the 46th pick in the 1984 draft. A versatile defensive minded forward helped pave the way for Portland's success in the nineties. Mercy Mercy Jerome Kersey. He can most be compared to todays Draymond Green without the bullshit.
6. Sidney Wicks
Drafted by the Blazers with the 2nd pick in the 1971 draft, Wicks was Portland's first star player. His career didn't last long, but he left an imprint for future forwards to follow in Portland.
5. Jim Paxson
Paxson was drafted by the Blazers with the 10th pick in the 1979 draft. The 6'6 guard was a NBA all star and spent nine seasons in Portland.
4. Terry Porter
Terry Porter was drafted by the Blazers with the 24th pick in the 1985 draft. He is if not the best, Portland's second best point guard in its franchise history. He helped the Blazers to the finals in the early nineties and not only helped to define a Blazers era, but set a standard for guards in Portland and in the league.
3. Bill Walton
One of Portland's best all time players, Walton was drafted with the 1st pick in the 1974 draft. Though his first few years in the NBA were disrupted by injuries to his feet, legs and wrists, he came back healthy in 76-77 and led the Blazers to their first and only championship.
2.) Clyde "The Glide" Drexler
Clyde Drexler is perhaps one of the best top 10- 20 players in NBA history. A 10 time All star up on par with the greatest in the game. Unfortunately his only championship did not come in Portland as was hoped, but in Houston after he was traded.
1. Damian Lillard
Wait, What!?! Drexler isn't number 1? Still young, Damian Lillard has a long future in the NBA. He is already a superstar, a player who can take over the game at any point and time. I dare to say, he is in the making, the best player in Portland's franchise history.
