1. Marcus Camby
2. Sam Dalembert
3. Brendan Haywoode
4. Nazr Mohammed
5. Brad Miller

All would be difficult to get with salary cap issues.

Meh, at this point, you might as well just sign a D-Leaguer. None of those guys would be worth the price of acquisition.

I wonder what Loren Woods is up to?

um any one of those guys is better then howard. you simply cannot start howard in todays nba and win. i mean... howard as a starter? are you fucking kidding me? might as well start pendergraph

Of that list, Dalembert is probably the only one easily available. I think, if we actually were to make a move for a C, the easiest way would be to find a guy not with an expiring contract, which Miller, Haywood, and Camby all have. We don't have a lot to offer, so the key would be getting a team cap relief.

Stephen Hill. Or, Howard. I wont cry about him starting Center. I have a pair.

Brad Miller is #1 out of all of those. Not #5.

The real question we need to ask is, "Who would we want to see suffer a painful and devastating injury?" The answer to that question is who we should trade for.

Were trading for Kobe?:devilwink:

On that list I'd try for Haywood or Camby. Don't really know how available both are, though.

It's going to be pretty hard to pull off a trade for a C with not a lot of pieces. Any trade would have to include a 1st round pick.

Anybody know how big Freelands buyout would be?

It is time for the return of HA!!!

Ha Ha Ha!

OK not really. There are not any real centers in the D leagues are there? You'd be better off looking for a tough rebounding PF... but even those are in short supply.

If we're doing that, might as well just play Jeff Pendergraph at backup C, Tolliver at backup PF, and Cunningham at backup SF and let them work it out for a few weeks first.

If I'm Freeland, I'm thinking one thing:

"Should I answer the call of the team desperately needing a big body, sign a 30th-pick rookie-level contract with 4 years of team control; OR wait until July and sign for the MLE?"

Yea plus he has to figure in buyout costs. Rookie contract may or may not cover that, I have no idea how big his buyout is. That is one reason I was pissed they didn't bring him over this year, because when he signed that multi year deal, it viced us into a bad situation.

He's not a Center but what about Tyrus Thomas?

His rebounding and shotblocking would be extremely valuable now.

What would Portland trade for him? I like Thomas as a role-player, but Chicago is not going to just give him away.

Yea I was thinking about that. Sometimes he is a head case though. But right now, he would have no problem getting playing time, so he would probably not bitch.

Sorry Mix, but you're being assigned to the developmental forum. Maybe you'll be called up when someone gets banned here.
