Do you guys get snow days when there's only a couple inches of snow on the ground? I know Vancouver functions like that, and I never stop using it to taunt people who live there.

We get snow days when it doesn't even snow. At the first forecast of snow, they close the schools. We had about three days in a row last winter where they closed the schools because a big winter storm was headed our way. In those three days combined, we got maybe 1/4" of snow - then the storm did hit (the biggest since I've lived here - 20 years) and they had to cancel school for the whole week. So, basically the kids got an extra week off for Chrismas break. It was great.
