It was another close game at Cedar Park Center Wednesday evening, but with a potential playoff berth on the line the Austin Toros (27-21) stepped up to beat the Springfield Armor 112-103. Two minutes remained on the clock and the game tied when Tre Kelley hit a big three-point field goal sparking an 11-0 run and ultimately the victory for the home team.
JaMychal Green and Rick Jackson led way for the Toros, finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 18 points, 17 rebounds respectively. Three other Toros players finished the game with double figures. Kelley tallied 17 points, five assists and four steals, while Lester Hudson added 15 points and a game-high six assists. Chris Roberts contributed 14 points and five boards from the bench.
Reserve forward Carleton Scott was the leading scorer for Springfield (18-31), putting up 20 points and five rebounds on the night. Dennis Horner finished the game with a double-double at 18 points, 10 rebounds and Dominique Jones totaled 17 points, and five rebounds, while dishing out four assists.
