The San Antonio Spurs affiliated Austin Toros defeated the Dallas Mavericks affiliated Texas Legends 132-122 Thursday night at Cedar Park Center, splitting this week's series between the two. Legends' Justin Dentmon led all scorers with 35 points and five assists.

Moses Ehambe started the game off strong for the Toros by shooting 100 percent from beyond the arc and contributing 10 points in the first quarter, but Justin Dentmon responded by scoring 17 points for the Legends. The Toros trailed the Legends 34-29 at the end of the first. The Toros took the lead late in the second thanks to the combined efforts of an Ehambe three-pointer and a dunk by Leo Lyons. The Toros ended the first half ahead 65-63.

The Toros maintained their lead throughout the third shooting 56 percent from the field and 56 percent from beyond the arc compared to the Legends 49 percent and 27 percent respectively. The score was 99-88 at the end of the third quarter with the Toros holding a strong lead. With 9:04 seconds left to play, the Toros took the biggest lead of the game of 16 points. Carldell "Squeaky" Johnson caught fire late in the fourth contributing 8 points to the Toros leader board. Johnson, currently ranked fourth in the D-League in assists, recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 assists.

Legends' Dentmon was followed by Joe Alexander (21), who recorded a double-double with 16 rebounds and Antonio Daniels and Dominique Johnson who both scored 18 points. Leo Lyons led the Toros in scoring with 32 points and six rebounds. Lyons was followed by Moses Ehambe (21) who shot 100 percent from beyond the arc and Kevin Palmer (17) who recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds.

The Austin Toros (16-22) will face off with the Sioux Falls Skyforce Saturday, March 5 at noon at Cedar Park Center.
